And yes, i understand the reasoning....a too scale game would take yrs to travel between systems, even with super-luminal travel.
The closest star is 4 light years away, or ~24 trillion miles....and that's just a jump away....yet it would take us 1000's of years to get there by traditional drives.
I tried to figure out the size in miles of the universe in high school....using ~150 billion light yrs as the scope....needless to say, I ran out of paper in my notebook.
