Had some good experiences with you though. Enjoyed killing you with the HT:Pand the RP i had with one of you in New York, damn machine wouldn't accept my codes. Gonna need to get in touch with a lane hacker, see if i can take one of you over...:D
Thats my 1 pence.
I'm not makeing any member dump their credits. I've just froze new ships bigger than Gunship. till we get caught up.

According to the ratio you give for using capital ships, this faction easily has the potential to have more capital ships than any other faction on the server. Since the Harvesters are already friendly with the Corsairs, whose independent players favor the Corsair GBs like flies and honey, this is an unpleasant idea to contemplate.
I also have to echo Elgatodiablo, what happens when FTGW finally finds the alpha code? Either there is no longer any reason for this faction to exist because its story ends, or it becomes like the Cylons and tries to take over the galaxy...and I'm back to shuddering at the thought of all your capships allied with all those independent Corsair GBs.
LSF is giving up its only large capships for the sake of better roleplaying, and they have far more legitimate use for them than the Harvesters, considering the unlawful capships that invade NY so regularly (2 Outcast destroyers tonight alone). Why can't the Harvesters make the same sacrifice?

First, I don't like the use of the Talarca, it seems oorp to me. You folks are allied with the Junkers and unfriendly with Kusari. I don't see anyone in Kusari letting you buy this ship from them. You should find a more in RP ship to use.
Second, what about your RP will change by becoming a faction? You are running a very successful group right now, but how do you see it playing out? How would that be different if you were a group or a faction?
Oh one last thing, I don't know about not listing your members, I believe the rule state that factions are supposed to put a member roster on the faction post. (I know this is not a official faction post, I am just looking ahead) Why would you want to keep it a secret?
I am not attacking this faction post, just asking about things it made me think about.
Many good points. Ok the Talarca has rumors stateing that it is of alien origin so, I am exploiting that. In practise we are buying it from Honshu, in RP we are building it.
I hope little but as we either over come or obtain the alpha code we will move on to Objective 2 of the Omega plan.
I have listed Members to the admins and the back story so, admins have it all. Faction leaders may have this info to upon request via PMs to me. For logistical purposes only. It would be a total ooRP transaction. Now if the admins give me a directive a I have little recourse but to convince or comply.

My question is this: While your RP and foundation for your RP are very intriguing and well-executed, I find that it is a rather minor point to build an entire faction off of.
In other words, the Harvesters are fine. But what happens when the Alpha code is found?
A Few Other Points...
Another problem that I have had with the Harvesters is the fact that they have, up till now, more or less had a good deal of RP based off harassing certain player factions. Your behavior in system chat is absolutely impeccable, and I simply wish I can say the same for your combat, diplomacy, and ship usage.
Finally, my last point. I have seen instances of Harvesters being directly addressed by player characters, and the Harvesters seem to respond rather...dumbly. Cmon, you guys...you're highly advanced machines...
When a LSF asks you why the LPI officers are in your hold, tell them why. Don't play dumb.
At this point, this is, unfortunately, getting a no from me.

Well we are not perfect with player ages rangeing from 15 to 41 so not everyone is going to match you on wits duels. Also We communicate alot among each other and I try to make new folk talk less untill they learn our patterns. My goal is to make us all sound the same. Thanks for your words though it gives me something to work with.

might want to change that, some uneducated players may take it the wrong way if they see it in Sys chat
other than that, i dont see anything wrong

If you ever see this in system chat we made a mistake. Its a little in side joke. Low brow humor is fun too.:)

Trust me I'm nice and I dont fight well.:)
Also we do have plans to keep it viable but I dont want to spoil. However, a person like you if you must know I will tell you in PMs so, you as a faction leader may look out for the interest of your members.

I totally understand, Scorn. But there are many ways to sound generic while answering a question without compromising your solid insystem chat.
Again, this point is totally moot compared to the other things there, such as: What happens when you find the Alpha code?
Of course, I believe that the answer to this question cannot really be revealed. Otherwise, it would spoil your RP and the surprise, which I am sure is quite interesting and well thought out.
But this is why I believe that the Harvesters would not really fit the mold for a faction. A faction cannot function like this. The Harvester RP is essentially a huge RP story, much like the Fantasmas de Nube Sinestras story, or the Interrogation of Humphrey Burlington. It is based off of twists and turns, and exciting surprises. The Harvesters totally fit the mold of a RP group. They are an excellent idea, but the fact that they are based off of something so specific makes for a questionable foundation to build a faction upon.

to be honest i think he has actually already explained what happens somewhere around this place, when he finds the alpha code. unless thats a different piece of RP all together which im thinking of.

You know in the begining I had not wanted to make this a faction. What made me change my mind is this. I first found that after the TAZ hosted an event with us it gave much popularity that brought recruits faster than I could accept and screen so I had to turn many away. Two, haveing so many recruits made me think that I can be present all the time and folks I have only met online are capable of all kinds of behavior that i can't control but, if I was a official faction I COULD take responsibility and have our name removed from folk that may not do us justice.
I find with official status comes a foundation that can support an unorthidox form of play and accountablity to maintain a RP persona. It might be construed as power hunger but, I really want this to be a new and totally disco faction.
Additionally, the faction I am creating is for a machine alliance. There are alot of folk who start playing machines and are either discouraged, copy some other form of media or disolve. I would be willing to take, represent, and pass on when the time comes all machine personas under our auspice. We intend to get a (Machine ID) I'm not sure how to do it yet my R&D team and myself are going to look in to it but our plates are full now. I think its needed as there are many who play them and find they have a difficult time adapting to the various existing IDs.
I guess bottom line for faction status is one person for the Admins to scream at to cover them all (accountability) and the ability to buy and mod a system. We have the money and we nearly have the system completed with info cards, commodities, ships, and bases. (a disco original machine system) This is the doing of Snapp, I'm just an idea guy. We would not be elegable for a system without faction status. Also a since of comunity for machines to get started and develop their play with out haveing to do it and ultimately becomeing just like everyone else in the sector. I see every most AIs in the game get tired of folks stand offishness and act more human. To me folks that act stand offish are being natrual. We dont give our best manners to our cars ussually, therefore I dont exspect a fedup overworked cop to have much patience either.
Hope those are satisfactory tid bits Diablo. Thanks my toughest criticas are my best editers.:)
