I have returned to regular duties, after being checked out by the scientists and KNF officials at Kansai Research Station.
Commertial traffic is booming with the recent developments in Kusari space. Not all of it is legal however, so my fellow officers and I, along with Hogosha and Farmer's Alliance pilots, have been doing our best to find these smugglers and put them into custody.
Breaking up this regular work today was the appearance of a Lane Hacker IFFed pilot in New Tokyo, near Shinagawa station. He was unresponsive over comms, and when he did respond, it was unintelligible for the most part. Still, I recognized imminent combat when he started flying an attack pattern.
We fought for several minutes while I called for reinforments. Luckily, [KNF]John_Miyagi was nearby, and came to assist me. Within a few minutes, the Lane Hacker pilot was seeing his ship fall apart around him. He headed for nearby moon, and crashed his ship into tiny pieces upon its surface.
Seeing as how not even criminals are stupid or fanatical enough to fruitlessly crash expensive ships into moons, I must conclude that this pilot was mentally deficient somehow. In any case, Neither me nor Miyagi suffered any injuries, so the encounter went very well.
First, the sensor drones in Honshu reported two Order vessels in the system. I proceeded to the Honshu system to investigate. They were near Yukawa Shipyard. I managed to get these scans of the Order vessels.
I asked them what their business was, and they told me that they were recovering an Artifact from a Corsair, and were just leaving. Seeing as how they were leaving, I declined to hold them any longer, but told them to contact KNF or KSP authorities the next time they were to enter Kusari space.
After that episode, I started back to the New Tokyo system. When I reached the jumpgate, an IND trade vessel was just emerging. I ran a routine cargo scan and was surprised to see that his holds were full of counterfeit software!
I ordered the ship to halt, and started questioning the trader, who was seemingly appalled thaat I would dare accuse him of such a thing. He was also either ignorant or dumb, or simply lying when he said that his cargo was in fact, not counterfeit software, but perfectly legal and aboveboard software that just happened to be packaged and transported exactly like counterfeit software.
Whatever the case might be, his actions betrayed his true colors, a smuggler. He continued to try to escape, and eventually succeeded, leaving a trail of disrupted trade lanes in his wake. I lost contact with him at Akita Border Station, as he was headed for the Sigma-19 Jump Gate.
I leave it to higher authorities to contact IND and confront them about the behavior of their trader, unless High Command would like me to investigate further, in which case I shall.
I took my newly-constructed bomber out today, for shakedown and familiarization. It was a good thing I did too. Not long after I was in space, I received reports that there were Outcasts in New Tokyo! Sounding the alert, I coordinated with a KNF officer and a Hogosha to find and intercept the Outcast.
We found him near Shinigawa Station. To our surprise it was no mere fighter, but an Outcast gunboat with Guard markings! What was surprising, however, was the fact that he seemed to be having some problems flying his ship, as it was moving erratically and not responding to hails. He took the lane to the Honshu jump gate, and we followed.
Once we were at the gate, I gave him an ultimatum: leave within 30 seconds, or be destroyed. This seemed to get his attention, and he fired on my ship. Taking that very clear response, [KNF]Seiichi.Takeshi and I opened fire as well, joined shortly by [|]Hakatoa.Yamota.
The fight was brutal but quick. Under combined firepower, the gunboat quickly lost shield power, then depleted its supply of shield batteries and nanobots. With a final hit from my Supernova cannon, the Outcast gunboat broke apart and then mostly vaporized.
The Outcast was carrying a significant cargo of prisoners as well, mostly Blood Dragon pilots, and a few GC. After docking on Shinigawa to resupply and evaluate the damage to my ship, I hauled all the prisoners to Fuchu Prison.
All in all, a good first outing for the Shiraha, and a not insignificant blow stuck at the vile Outcasts that poison the surrounding space. I hope this is the first of many yet to follow.
What a week! Seems like the criminals in and around Kusari are becoming more active. Unfortunately for them, we are matching their every escalation, and continue to serve and protect our great nation.
First, on regular patrol in the Honshu system, I spotted an Outcast Sabre, [SRR]-Samuel.O'Altaris. I hailed him and demanded that he leave, but he continued on his flight. We started a search pattern, and caught up with him near Kansai Research. A GMG vessel in the vicinity challenged the Outcast to single combat, and was winning quite handily when the filthy drug-user turned tail and ran. It was not a complete victory, but that ship was sufficiently damaged to be unusable anymore, and we showed another Outcast the price of their actions in Kusari.
My next encounter was the next day. I was responding to a report of pirates in the Kyushu system, and was flying my bomber. When I arrived, Kyushu was all quiet and the pirates had left, so I was in the process of returning to New Tokyo. However, in the lane between Shinjuku and the Capital, I spotted a Blood Dragon, Comm ID of 53rd-Ittohei.Totosai. He was flying one of their signature fighters and had three police pilots captured in his hold. I dropped out of the lane and demanded that he return the pirates and leave the area immediately. Apparently he wasn't one for words, and attacked me. After a short battle, I destroyed his ship and rescued the captured pilots in his hold. I brought them to New Tokyo, where they were gladly reunited with their friends and family. Little was I to know, this would not be my last encounter with these 53rd Blood Dragons.
The next day, I faced two more Outcasts, both in New Tokyo, with the help of the KNF. First was Drobex, flying a Falcata bomber. [KNF]Hiro_Okada assisted me in destroying the worthless excuse for a human being.
Just a few minutes later, we received notice that there was yet another Outcast in the system, a Sabre with comm ID AziKunari.Youngzui. Another KNF Pilot, Gary.Kintano, arrived to assist us in taking down this invader. With a few quick volleys of gunfire, the ship was no more.
The next day is one that I will never forget. I was called on to scramble my bomber when the Honshu defense grid detected the presence of a Blood Dragon fleet!. There was a battleship, a cruiser, and a fighter, all carrying 53rd tags. I quickly enlisted the help of [AFA]Sousuke-Patro and made my way to the Honshu system as fast as I could.
While we were en-route, we received word that the Blood Dragon cruiser had been destroyed by a Honshu-based bomber wing, but that they had sustained heavy damage and were unable to assist with the rest of the ships. The Farmer jumped through to Honshu first, and reported that the battleship was sitting on the other side of the jump gate, and immediately opened fire!
At about this time, a Hogosha also responded to the alert, and informed us that he was on his way to assist. When he arrived, he was unfortunately gunned down by the battleship, but managed to eject and get to safety. The Farmer and I engaged the battleship, attempting to down its shields while didging its fire and the escort fighter. A few minutes in, the Farmer took it upon himself to remove the annoyance, and he quickly dispatched the 53rd BD fighter pilot. With that distraction removed, we redoubled our efforts against the battleship.
We had breached the battleship's shields, depleted its supply of shield batteries and nanobots, and were tearing into the hull, when the Blood Dragon captain decided to flee. We did not stop it, and while it was cruising away, the captain spouted some nonsense about coming back with more forces. I last spotted the battleship heading into a gas cloud, but then lost contact. After the battle, I stopped at Yukawa shipyard for rest and repairs, before returning home to New Tokyo.
The next day, we had a strange visitor in New Tokyo. A Bowex-tagged Bretonian Container Transport, Bowex}Carina's.Revenge had entered New Tokyo and was spouting propaganda. As I located the ship and went to investigate, I found that it had the markings of a Bretonian Privateer. In addition, there were a number of Police pilots and a KNF pilot captured in its cavernous holds. I ordered the ship to drop the pilots and leave immediately, but as expected, he refused.
At this time, a KNF pilot, [KNF]Seiichi.Takeshi, showed up to assist me. Together, we made short work of the tradeship, and left a small debris field as the only sign that it had ever been in the system. I picked up the pilots and returned them to New Tokyo, where again they were relieved to be back among the free.
Konichiwa, this is Chiyoko Natsume, and also my first Report which includes last two day of my patrol routes, and also the first two days of my Kusari State Police post.
My feelings are confused. Life of Police officer is much different, at least from my point of view. Being member of Kusari Naval Forces was i guess good opportunity to get some fighting skills and indeed i gained them. I thought that my actions in KNF will make Elders of the Natsume family and also my Dad proud. I was also so arrogant to think that maybe by the time, it wont take long and Emperor will trust my family once again. Only if i would know what happened that time 3 years ago...
After i was sent to Leeds to support [KNF] officers, my dad realized that being a soldier of Kusari Naval Forces is far more dangerous for the next head of Natsume family, so he asked Elders to replace my zone of influence closer to home. And that is how i became KSP. It is good to operate closer to home, and in truth I am really relieved that i don't have to fight Bretonians anymore.
First day was calm so far. Indeed, possible threat appeared, and that was near Honshu jump hole in New Tokyo system. Patrol units reported, that they saw an GC moving towards New Tokyo hole in Honshu system. Considering my patrol route was assigned near Shinigawa Station, i was asked to check the hole which was near. I headed there. And there truly was Golden Chrysanthemum ID: [GC]-Naomi.Ishiyusai. Considering i was in Wyrm, i felt possible danger if i would be forced to engage her because i still need more practice with that ship. I was glad when [KNF]Senzo arrived. I think those two know each other already. They were talking about some files and also about some 5 million credits that Senzo owe her. At least that is what i heard. Anyway i didn't understand what they are talking about. Of course top priority was to make Naomi Ishiyusai leave. So i asked her to leave. With weapons ready, i was waiting on her reaction. But she didn't attack neither me or Senzo. She was very cooperative, but she agreed with the words which are still in my mind. I think she wanted to point on fact, that if i am not there she would definitely atack Senzo. I haven't found them that bad as the rumors says. Anyway my job was done, so i headed back to Shinigawa station, scanned some traders. None of them was making any problems, although i met one arrogant Zoner, which refused to stop for cargo scan, so i disrupted trade lane. It was necessarily make this act, so i could scan him. He was really arrogant, and angry about it. But it does not bothered me. Orders are orders.
Today it wasn't so calm like Yesterday. At the patrol around Kyushu planet in Kyushu system, me and officer [KSP]-Izeki.Akimasa saw an bretonian trader carrying unknown cargo towards Okinawa system. It still isn't clear, how he managed to pass by KNF patrol units in Leeds and Tau systems. Izeki's shift was over, so he landed at the planet and left. When I started intercepting on the BMM trader, Bretonian was already in New Tokyo, and after i entered New Tokyo as well, at the exact same time he jumped to Honshu, which means he used Trade lines. I immediately informed GMG officers, because i was pretty sure he came to Kusari for plutonium. I knew it because, yesterday i discovered that there was already report about possible, Bretonian smugglers. That created a little conflict in Honshu, in front of planet between GMG officers and [KNF]Byakuya.Kuchiki. Was a little miss understanding, i hope nothing bad happened. I am ready to explain it, if GMG or KNF are still in doubts. What is, however, lot worst, is the fact, that BMM trader have managed somehow, to dock on Kusari base in Honshu system. In which one directly i cant say, because i wasn't informed about it neither from Kuchiki-san or GMG officer. Important thing is, that he might be in contact with someone from Kichiro or Samura. To all KSP, please be prepared. I suggest, to kill him on sight. Making fool from Kusari state police, is worthy of death.
Next i would like to warn every KSP officer that i met another trader carrying Engine components toward Leeds system. After informing about law violation and fine of 2 millions request, trader belonging to Kishiro, changed course towards Tsushima Depod. He get land request and he landed even i told him to not move. Suggesting to give this trader extra fine for ignoring KSP officer's order. Comm ID: Betty.... (full name unknown) ----- ID: Kishiro ----- Ship: Luxury Liner
And at last. I've discovered another Kishiro trader, without License, carrying highly radioactive material - Plutonium - towards Bretonia system, through Tau systems. trader refused to pay the fine (2 millions credits) and cargo drop. Considering we were near Jump gate heading to Tau-29, he used the gate, and ran away. Member of [AFA] which was there too followed him, but if he destroyed his ship is unknown to me.
Comm ID: Lt.LaForge[Cze] ----- ID: Kishiro Ship: (unknow)
For Unknown informations, please stand by for further updates.

Konichiwa. I apologies because i wasn't able to write this report earlier. I was injured from last patrol in Honshu system.
I was patrolling around planet New Tokyo when i discovered couple of [KoF] Universal trader vessels moving from Shikoku jump gate. After scanning their cargo ( they were carrying Gate/Lane parts to Okinawa system) they were free to go. However. After their release Ive got message from Police patrol units in Hoshu system, about possible threat. At first moment i knew only about [BD]. I saw him near Yukawa Shipyard. From long range i could tell, that it is bigger ship type. When i came closer I discovered terrible truth. And that truth was, that pirate was piloting Blood Dragons battleship. I wouldn't stand a chance in drake, so i tried to hold him by talking to him, at least when reinforcements will arrive. After some time Dragon changed his course back to Chugoku, but his intention wasn't to run, just change his ship. Latter he arrived in Blood Dragon. But then I saw another pirate. [GC] piloting Outcast gunboat attacked trade lanes. There was no sign of reinforcements yet, so i tried talk to GC too. Again i had a chance to know something more about my sisters. If all GC that i met, were telling me truth about their lives before, they really had it hard. Of course, none of their memories is worthy of killing and murdering innocent within Kusari sector. And after she started insulting Emperors family, and telling me lies about Kusari government and Shogun, i had enough. I was glad when Sakura-san came in her Bomber to assist. When i finally knew, that she is on the way, i attacked Golden Chrysanthemum, although, when Sakura-san arrived, at the same moment, Blood Dragon arrived either. Battle started. After some time Shiraha was destroyed, and minute after that, my ship was destroyed as well. Both of us survived, only i was injured, in ejecting process. Latter we were picked up by KNF forces, which came finally, to destroy those two arrogant pirates. What happened to them is something I don't know, because right after my pod was rescued, i was carried back on planet New Tokyo.

Patrol summary:
I scanned sixteen transports and escorts in New Tokyo in Honshu, none of which were carrying contraband.
While on patrol, I detected the villian "Kishin" on my scannersnear Osaka, and started the pursuit. I originally thought that she might not resist arrest, as she did not cruise away.
The battle raged on for what seemed like an eternity. Unfortunately, my Wyrm was destroyed when one of my mines malfunctioned. I was picked up by a Samura convoy shortly after.
The first incident was a Plutonium exporter to the Taus. I redirected him to Norfolk in Liberty. The trader provided minor resistance, but eventually agreed to seize export to the Taus.
I had my second encounter with the Chrysanthemum Kishin whilst on my last lane patrol. Unfortunately, I was yet again frustrated by failure, as I was low on mine ammunition.
I am attaching the transcription recovered from the wreckage of my ship.
First, I spotted an independent trader with a Bowex IFF moving Kusari military vehicles in his Advanced Train. His comm ID is [Morbid]The_Runner. He didn't seem like the brightest fellow ever, and expressed ignorance of the trade restriction, as well as proper procedure when dealing with lawful authorities. After quite some time, it was apparent that he was not going to pay the fine and drop off the cargo. With the help of several loyal citizens nearby, we destroyed the ship as it attempted to flee.
Several minutes after that encounter, I was just about to return to base on New Tokyo when my scanners picked up a hostile contact very close by. I went to investigate, and was quite surprised to see a lone Bretonian Privateer, by the ID of QCP|John.Evens. Words were exchanged, to no effect, followed by gunfire. In a quick, viscous battle, I managed to get a good shot off with the main cannon and turn his bomber into vapor. I picked up the contents of his hold, which included quite a few KSP officers, as well as civilian pilots and some unlawfuls. I brought them all to New Tokyo, where they could be returned or processed. Another interesting piece of wreckage was the codename weapon JADE, currently in the labs for testing.
-----
My next patrol, I found a Zoner trader, Vesper, in Honshu carrying some suspicious looking cargo. I asked that he halt and explain the situation, and he said that he had purchased the software on Ames Research Station, known to be a hotbed of software piracy. He was very cooperative after I told him the software was counterfeit, and he dropped the cargo off at Akita for processing.
So ends my recent patrols. We may want to see about boosting sensor drone sweeps to catch the Privateers as they enter our home systems.
