Hey I support your cause aswell... afterall my character is Hogosha;)I've been looking for some people to do some runs with, so I look forward to seeing you serverside!
On to the fun times of Kusari diplomacy, I have to ask about my dear Bundschuh; both of us are rather nationalistic and not exactly in the same nation, yet (hopefully) should never meet. We're fairly socialist (understatement of the week candidate right there) and the Hogosha seem a bit more inclined to make the wheels turn so that the aristocracy stays the aristocracy, and the poor stay poor; something the Bundschuh fight and die over every day. I am quite curious as to how this might work... in the freak event that we need to know, what happens?
Thanks for your comments and for posting here, you raise an interesting question regarding Faction relationships. A couple of things jump out:-
Bundschuh are shown this way on the Faction list
Friendly to 101st (Outcast Guards)
Friendly to Nova PG (Blood Dragons)
Friendly to SOB
The Black Dragons are hostile to all the above.
In the Volksfront Faction IFF the following:-
Corsair : Unfriendly
Outcasts : Unfriendly (Doesn't tie in with the Faction alignment above)
The Black Dragons are Hostile to Outcasts and Friendly to Corsairs.
So maybe we would be Hostile. Looking at your ZOI it's probable that we would only meet in Sig 13 or Sig17? So who would you side with in those areas? If you could have a look at the above apparent mismatch in alignment I'm sure we can sort it out
My view is that we would be Unfriendly or Hostile to the Bundschuh should we meet. Having said that, we could "Stand Off" one another?
Your views appreciated and welcomed about this folks...
Mm... since the Hogosha probably don't give a rat's rump for Rheinland and the Bundschuh feel likewise about Kusari, 'unfriendly' feels more appropriate than 'hostile'.
Might I ask which faction list you are referring to? I made sure all the Corsair factions moved us to 'unfriendly', and I thought I got around to passing the message to the Outcasts. We certainly don't treat them friendly-like; we're not fans of cardamine, and the Corsairs sort of invaded Rheinland a year or so back. Upon more thought, my estimation is that if for whatever reason a Hogosha ran into a Bundschuh in Rheinland, or vice versa, they would be escorted out on pain of death (its what we do for unaccompanied Corsairs and Outcasts in Rheinland, or indeed foreigners in general). If we met in the Sigmas, we'd go about our merry ways unless said ways were contrary. Not help each other much less group, but just scoff and keep moving until the other party became annoying. It wouldn't take much for us to exchange a few rounds of fire, but a full blown fight would be quite rare.
I'm on board for your ideas of Black Dragon Society - Bundschuh relations, Sovereign. Make perfect seance that you'd not want us in Rhineland and treat us like you treat Outcast/Corsairs, and if we see each other in the Sigmas, I'm sure we wouldn't care enough to do anything. Out relationship is one of apathy and distrust.

Does that seem reasonable?

To clarify... I was quoting from the "Discovery Official Factions Guide" :-
And yes, you have both Outcast and Corsairs as unfriendly as you say, but of course, Hogosha are friendly with Corsairs and dire enemies of the Outcasts.
Anyway, I go with your assessment above (and confirm agreement with Griz's view). Hogosha escorted out of Rheinland, distrust and mutual disdain in Sigmas. Likewise, Hogosha would be pretty upset to see Bundschuh in Kusari, so it would be a reciprocal escort out on pain of death arrangement to the one for the Hogosha in Rheinland.
Too much agggravation in this respect by our (Hogosha and Bunschuh) pilots might lead to escalated action at some point. (Potential future events?).
