That actually stipulates "account". I always took that to mean you shouldnt have more than two system owning ships on a single freelancer account.
I see a need for it , because people should at the very least be limited to not having 10 or more battleships under there possetion. But there is one thing that has always supriced me. If the number for max system owning factions per player is two , that means that , for instance you desided to join the .. say RoS and the [+] , well after a while with them you have reached a rank that alowes you to have your own battleship and you have to choose one.
I don't find that very fitting. I suggest make it a number of 2 per player. Much better in my opinion.
(Did not read the entire topic, short on time. Apologies)
I can see where the rule's comming from. But to be honest, its completely obsolete. Wether people whore one or multiple battleships, the fact remains that they're whoring a battleship. This rule would make sence if you could fly multiple characters at once, but besides that it just gets in the way. Take me for example. I'm flying the Harbinger which is one. Then I'm also looking after Eppy's Fantasia which is two. Now there's probaply gonna be a poo load of people out there with situations just like it, or shared battleships.
Short, if we could fly several ships at once this rule would start making sence. But for now, I'd say nah.
Also may we had that when this rule was instated, there was a lot of old members still flying around with 2, even 3 Battleships. Bending the rules.
and Mike (exile) bring out a good point. And what he says kinda explain my last post here. Whether you have 20000 BS or just one, you can still only log on one at the time... so what does it changes in the end?
So what if on the same IP there was 2 Bs and they were both doing different things. I myself would see that as proof enough that two people are indeed playing as two different ships.
Stewart pretty much quit the game because the admins restricted him by some stupid thing again. (He told me again I dont know what the first was)
Many people have two computers and can play two ships at once. Vtec used to pilot 4 at the same time, so that having two ships active at the same time is no indication of two different people.
How do you prove that then, I mean just because two people live in the same house and share the same IP doesn't seem like a good reason to cut the Number of BS's they can have by half. I know this isnt the whole picture but still I think it's a valid point if this is happening to people.
Well I brought up the suggestion of taking pictures of us playing the different computers and to make proof even more valid show that stewarts comp has that dragon on the side of it and mine is an entirly other room.
