My idea of the Coalition; multiple systems representing the russian/eastern europe system in the northern Rheinland, eastward the green nebula of doom, multiple systems representing China, north korea and vietnam further north of Kusari and eastward of Kusari, with multiple south america systems in the east of the omicron gamma area.
Arabs... idk where would they fit. Were they even part of the coalition (at least as major players) seems contested.
But right now, my vision is limited to two major planets of the Coalition, JiangXi and Volgograde. They are undockable (guard system, but, that gives a reason for the Coalition ships to be atmospheric flight capable), with each planets having population each reaching the billions.

In Coalition Space, ship launches -you-.
The Alliance fired off its sleeper ships with a bit o' surprise and so on on their side. I imagine the Coalition wasn't terribly stressed about fueling up to follow them a couple years later. Blowing up the Sirius colonies in their first couple of years would have been simplicity itself.
I think it's reasonable to assume that the Coalition either lacked the technology required to construct their own sleeper ships (seems unlikely), or had no way of tracking the destination of the Alliance sleeper ships (possibly more likely). Otherwise, what would have been the point of the Alliance building them? Escape to a far off system to begin anew... Only to have the Coalition show up a few years later while you're still largely defenseless.
I think the SCRA is enough of the Coalition in Discovery.

Then I guess the Coalition pushed all their research into military projects while the Alliance was busy developing FTL jumpdrives in secret... Otherwise, like I said, the Alliance plan to escape in sleeper ships makes little sense at all.
