Correct me if I'm wrong on that one. Not sure anymore since its a new mod and all...
well i was thinking of my Loki.. but i think there are more LF that can mount and fire MR.

That is true.
And yeah a Light Fighter can very easily beat a Bomber, but if I remember correctly all Light Fighters get insta-killed by a Mini Razor. And when you fight Light Fighters, a Mini Razor becomes like a fast version of a Supernova, meaning very deadly.
The thing with Light Fighters is that, they are very fragile, the tiniest mistake turns to a fatal one, and you can die from many things. There are not so many people I know who can maintain that level of concentration to never make a mistake against a good Bomber pilot, and it takes quite a long time for a Light Fighter to drag a Bomber down to 0 bots, giving him plenty of time to have some Mini Razor shots and/or CD+Mine spam.
' Wrote:can we argue why we SHOULD use capital ships?
1. shorter fights, cap vs cap fights tend to last about 5 min
2. that warm fuzzy feeling when a bomber strays just a little too close and is raked by a volley of primaries that removes 90% hull and vaporizes shields.
3. Capital weapons can be ruthlessly acurate if grouped
Adding to that, the warm feeling you get when in group combat and a LM shot hits an unshielded bomber and everyone sees you hit the bomber with the LM because of the explosion.

Most people here don't seem to know how to fly a Light Fighter properly. Yes, they have a low margin of error, but if you put yourself in the position to be with in that margin, then you're doing it wrong. I've beaten dual-missile bombers in a 3 hour long fight, four bombers at once on multiple occasions. I've started mounting x4 Magma Hammers on my Liberator, it shortens the length of fights significantly.
The key to light fighters is to prey on your opponents frustraition. In my experience, when people get angry they become reckless and make mistakes. My favourite is when they E-kill, spin around and shoot at you while flying backwards. Another important point is to never engine-kill, ever. When your opponent is laying mines, don't follow him, make passes and strafe like mad, make your passes longer so the mines don't catch you while you're turning.
Honestly, a bomber does more damage to me by ramming than any other weapon.
Oh no, you know me... I would never point fingers... Although many's the night I've burst out laughing from my Barghest as an Avenger explodes in what I can only assume is a flaming ball of profanity.
Meant to edit in to the above: They have the capacity to do the same to enemies, but as Weedalot said, they seem to catch an allied fighter/bomber far more often than an enemy.
