Disco has been rather convolted beyond any recognition, "this is disco, this is not", its all been run-down for a long time and now its just ran out. I can change a few aspects of the Cruiser, but I till want to keep that indent in the center, thats a feature I want to be there. The only civilian using the Corvo ship Ive seen is named The Phoenix, but that player has a special ID.
Regarding model:
-> mesh is too blocky, having several surfaces covering almost half of ship is a poor quality work.
-> hole inside can be removed as it doesnt have any ingame specific advantage or meaning.
-> not textured. but imho it wont give much presentation wow-effect even if textured.
-> since its a cruiser size, imagine which brick you gonna see from a cockpit view of a snub.
also it was stated in several threads that civ tech wont get higher tech than GB as well as model submissions were closed for 487 long time ago.
PS use ambient occlusion to present flat shaded surfaces, gives more depth to image.
I can't do textures, Ive tried before, didnt work out. The images are just overlays of the smooth-version on top with the tweak version under. Also its a WIP still, so it will get revised alot.
Once again, revising. I added some more to the cruiser, now consisting of 6 objects, added some toruses and a cylinder and added another small through-and-through. I also did alot of smoothing out of many parts and fixed any faces that didn't cover and being see-through.
The 1 grill on the underside isnt as noticable, but I think it might do fine. The grill on the back of the bridge is much more noticable, and looks decently placed. My Wings 3D is starting to show FPS loss while I was editing, so Im almost at the same point as some of the Disco models. I haven't completely smoothed it out(Adding more faces) and havent made a actually model size. But Im getting there.
Added 4:36 EST: I did resize it, I just need to add the 10,000 faces to the model, since most aren't that low. I might try to do the UV mapping before adding faces cause its easier to do that. I also think Im about ready to have someone texture it, cause I have no abilities to texture at all.
