Yes of course. Not only does Rheinland players lose the war they've been winning in-game against Liberty, now they should also be chewed up by Hessians, who haven't been winning consistently in-game. Seems fair, I am sure that will boost the morale of Rheinland players.

This Rheinland [RM 2.03:44:07, RFP 2.15:05:30, BDM 4.00:08:23 by these hessians [RHA] 08:40:22
Would be really matching ingame situation. And indeed motivating Rheinland lawful players, but to choose RL definitely. Then we are wondering why people are leaving. That is not only reason but significant one.
I am playing a game, winning, I am quite successfull, but what happens? I am loosing? What's the point of playing it? => RL

Few earlier posts about "devs forcing people to do smth" result most probably from fact that earlier Friday forced destruction of Borderworld jumpgates in Hamburg upon Rheinland factions. I was online when that happened, it was "here's my proposal, discuss and decide", and as I remember either all official factions were against it, or only one was in favor. Either way, Friday went "that's not what I plan, will happen anyway." That's why players are wary about important things happening without their approval or knowledge - providing tl;dr version why "devs forcing us" posts may pop.
Back on topic, yes, there are already ongoing RP projects between some of Libertonian and Rheinland factions, sometimes very old. All we ask for is not blocking attempts to restore buisness traffic.
Sigma-Ellesmere idea is interesting, in vanilla Liberty was intended to be connected with Sigmas through Alaska, but then MS happened (that's why intro "suggests" there are no hospitals in Kusari and FP7 survivors have to fly all the way to Liberty :] )
Dunno how it could be done without another 80-years war, but I think as a new system it wouldn't be that well known, claimed or surveyed for resources.
[RM] was completely gone from activity a month ago. It was under two hours of activity. Should Rheinland fell to the hands of [RHA] who had around 5 days of activity?
No.
Stop comparing player factions to NPC faction influences. It's completely irrelevant.
Liberty capital vessels spam ")))". They are only second to the Ranseur Russian squad (who are a step further and use russian fonts for the system chat -_- )

Who will RP if not dead [RHA]? Developers? I think they don't exist inRP so.. no.
Edit: Back on topic: For me, the Sigmas idea looks good, let's see what will it bring, but please, bring back Alpha-Eta-Theta-Gamma, because it's now just awful.

Why are you ignoring this fact?
I am not ignoring anything. [RM] was dead, no RP came from them at all. When GDE| built base in proximity of Frankfurt gate in Sigma 13, some person I won't name here just told: "I don't want tagged ships there" So whole deconstruction operation was in hands of indies. [RM] feared to solve it itself so just sent indie fleet. This is indeed sad when storyline, economic issues.. makes official faction cowardic.
Afterall, all big storyline moves should be decided by official factions forumwise and ingamewise. Not by developers, or is official status compeletly useless?
