"Ahh yes, Liberating... I almost forgot," he gestured to the door in a shooing motion. "Out, out... leave me work... you will have your bomb... and for the love of all things holy... go liberate me some tea while I work, Commander... this.." he points to the Mr. Coffee, "spits out the most horrible swill."
X got up, slowly making his way out with a smile on his face.
"Lucky I have a sense of humour, Rikard, on your break I have something to ask you... Too. Regardless, I should leave you to work. If you want tea, look through the goods inventory, I should have something."
X pressed a button, the door closing behind him as he left.
The door to Rikard's lab opens, X standing perfectly straight as he walks in.
"It's been a week and a little, just wanted a progress report, if you'll be so kind."
X leans against the wall, scratching his claws together.
"Also, what's with the tunic? It's unusual for a Human of this day and age."
X burst into the room several hours later, the glowing yellow injector fixed to his back, his spines raised, hunched over and holding his stomach. The two bony tendrils that extend from his shoulders trailing lifelessly behind him.
"Damn... Th-this crap..."
X put his hand against a table to support himself, looking over to Rikard.
"It's a matter of... Time... B-before this sickness subsides, I... Assume..."
"For goodness sakes, Commander..." he got up and helped the mighty X to sit on a stool. "You aren't supposed to be moving around... do you have..." :: he sighed. :: "I have some stimulants... it should help shake the feeling of vertigo... but you need rest, Commander!"
X sighs, hanging his head, attempting to retract the tentacles.
"Rest isn't that simple for a reptile, I can go for weeks without sleep, a man of science like yourself should know this..."
X takes the stimulants, swallowing several of the small pills, speaking in a slightly sarcastic tone.
