Also, as Gezza said... the Falchion is not Mediterranean. Mediterranean weapons, in this case, are ones that were used in ship-to-ship combat in the Mediterranean.
Mediterranean? when i think mediterranean, i think of Romans and Greeks.
when i think of pirates i think of European and since the outcast are originally from the spanish variety i would think a European sword name would fit a ship for a people originating from Europe
It was a Hoplite weapon, and Hoplites were the best heavy infantry of that time. I think its a good name for a ship coming from the best pilots on the whole Sirius sector.
Also, the engines should be placed on the correct location so the ship is pushed forward. If the engines are placed on top, the ship wont go directly forward, but might spin. Instead, the ship could have a central engine, surrounded by 4 engines on an X configuration, 2 located over the dorsal wings, and two under the ventral wings, but not too close to each other, but spread. Spreader engines give a ship more maneuverability. Engine location must be symmetrical.

Halberd perhaps? Heavy weapon that hits really hard.

No, that's half-spear Ghost Cat. It might hit really hard, but I'm pretty sure it originated in england, and was used mainly for ground infantry. Korrd, sorry, but it should be curved I believe... Unselie, I believe it says that was used for hunting, not ship-to-ship combat. But it might still be a viable option, as it's related to both the Saber and the Scimitar.
But then again... it's all up to Legeonation, isn't it?
Heh, they were more like half axe/half spear weapons.
I wonder what Legeonation will pick.
