No. Don't nerf indies for not wanting to get involved in the faction's clusterfucks. Don't take away even more freedom from them. The laws of every faction are already doing that, and the result is people simply not going to certain spaces. Yes, it would be nice if there was more RP about aquiring cloaks, but that not to discuss in this thread.

Perhaps make one more cloak, way better than those other ones and make THAT cloak limited. (IRG power cell... anyone?

The point is, you pay 150-450m to get a cloak, you paying this money to stay cloaked before the fight or get away.
On the other hand you have a CDer, who spends few hundred k to buy a cruise disruptor and countering it, isntead of paying equal money to get a cloak disruptor.
I do believe that it's wrong and broken from economical and gameplay perspectives.

I don't know what people aren't getting about it not being equal when everyone already has a cloak as they have been in circulation for nearly half a decade now, whereas cloak disruptors are brand new.
The only way I would ever consider making cloaks solely vulnerable to cloak disruptors is if they were made significantly cheaper (at most 50 million credits) and easier to obtain.
I would not mind cloaks not being able to be stopped from charging, if it was limited to certain kinds of CDs.
Such as the Wasp, for example - a CD that sees no use right now. Short range, slow speed - but if it was the only CD that stopped cloak charges - sure. Why not.

Maybe, not all of us playing this game for 7 years now and just looking on it from the present day? And from this point of view, things are seems to be wrong. If you will give people a good reason to buy many cloak disruptors, they will do it. I mean from what I see, people are buying caps to take a part in some event, buying cloak disruptors won't be that much of an issue. But yet, they are not that useful, that's why there is not a lot of them.

I like the idea to allow only 1 type of Cruise Disruptor (short range) disrupting cloak charge. But i prefer the main idea of Cruise Disruptros for cruise engine only and Cloak disruptors for stop charge and/or revel ships.
I never understood why something intended for stop engines have effect in cloak device.
Reinforced Cruise Disruptor, 3.5k range... CD spammers... hahahaha, not really fair i guess.
