Well if you went in battle with us and considered a joke, you will probably regret it cause all SOB need is one opening and your dead.

SOB Reply Wrote:90% of our "Chat" is in role play, granted we have some new players in the squad & are still learning. We DO punish our players that do OORP chat they are warned, fined (minimum of 1 mill credits) & will be removed from squad if continued. NOT chatting in a system (role play chat that is) would be self defeating and assinine & become a seriously boring system to play in.
I'd just like to clarify what I said about seeing them train newer SOBs.
I have seen the OoRP chatter. I've seen the silliness and system chatter.
And also the younger ones not knowing how OCs should RP.
BUT, I've also seen them get rebukes by the older SoBs, and fined, in RP.
I've seen them teach and train the newer SoBs in their own way of RP.
And I've seen the OoRP situation in Alpha improve. And I still maintain that
they are doing well with the RP and training that I have seen.
As for the name, I think some people need to relax a bit. When I first saw
SoB and who was the leader I thought it was a joke as well. Who wouldn't
when the leaders name is "Obnoxious1"? But as they have shown they are a
serious faction intent on making good use of Alpha and the OC ZOI.
They seem respectful overall, and there have been a few bumps, but every faction
goes through that. I say lets give them a place ingame, and see where and how
they develop.
One thing that does concern me is hearing reports of the SoBs in Rheinland.
I don't play an OC so havent paid much attention to their supposed ZOI, but
Rheinland seems too far. Although in saying that ... "All of civilized Sirius"
actually sounds ok. I think we need to open up peoples ZOI a little. But that's
just a personal opinion, and doesnt have much bearing on this being a
well run Outcast player faction, and IMHO, should be given the chance.

I was on my 101st last night and had a rather nice experience with the SOB. Right after I had finished the basics of repping myself, an SOB alerted me to a foreign presence in Omicron-85. Even thought there were some rather heavy SOB forces in the area, I was immediately given command of the situation without even having to ask for it and my orders were followed without question or hesitation. The situation resolved peacefully and we went about our merry ways, RPing happily along. I'm rather happy with the way that went, and the more time I spend near them the less I notice the funniness of the acronym. Quite a nice group from everything I've seen.
Well.. we was out pirating, wanted to sing a pirate type song that would strike fear in to the traders, unfortunately, thats the only sea shanty we knew.. That & we was out of Cardy & going through with drawl symptoms...
Apology not accepted. Such terrible taste in cartoons cannot be forgiven. The Scimitar Death Squad will be coming for you shortly.
Okay, half of that was a joke. We all know there's not enough Scimitars in use to assemble a death squad.
Seriously though, try and keep that out of system chat. You're normally a good group from what I've seen, just a few occasional slips like that one pop up. I don't mind references to Earth history so much, but I really doubt Earth's TV shows (and video games, etc) would still be known in Sirius.
Actually I have roledplayed that Die Hard 9000 was in a "DVD" collection
that I found in a debris field. Gave it to John Talon to <strike>stop me from being hunted and shot</strike>, as a parting gift.
That and my Multi-media player didnt work. I lost some parts and have never found a replacement yet.
I see some Outcasts, that have been dealing with some Junkers....
Ok, I know it's stretching it a bit, but still...

oh and dont forget the SOB are a civilian militia of sorts, i doubt they would have the dedication and discipline to be staying in uniform all the time no?
