"And no, I came here after serving years in Coalition. I guess I sobered up from the ideals and all that." It was rather apparent that Lachina was not completely honest but she did not elaborate on it more.
"What about you? What brings you here? You don't seem a typical Reaver material for me." she ordered another round of vodkas.
Amber nodded, noted that Lachina was similar to her. "Typical Reaver? Didn't know there was a typical Reaver"
Emily smiles, taking a quick sip from her glass.
"No, I've made my way from being a USI escort to being a Advisor in the LSF. To being unemployed until I registered on the bounty boards, where I slowly made my way into the Reavers."
Emily took a slow glance across the bar smiling, before turning her head back to Lachina.
*After shaking the hand of Danielle Stirling puts out his cigar in the ashtray.*
"Poena Outpost is the collaboration between the IND and the Reavers. I wanted to let you know this after the acceptance, or would have never told you if you didn't pass."
*Looking around he smiles.*
"Although most business is conducted on Wall Street in Oita, some of us do enjoy the scenery here a bit more.
"Anyway, I'm waiting for the others to arrive I was supposed to meet. I'd advice you to head down to WS as soon as possible, get a quick customary mental and physical check-up by the onboard medical team and get the paperwork settled. Welcome once more and make us proud. And oh, you, that drink and my quarters later?"
*Stirling stands up and walks toward the bar, looking back to Danielle over his shoulder without waiting a yes or a no. Either she's gonna be there in front of his door, or not...*
Lachina hesitated for a few moments."I was- on a leave." she drank from her glass"Actually I was quite a mess... Which reminds me I shouldn't drink" she lighted up another cigarette offering Emily"or so do the doctors say"
Lachina finished her glass again.
But then again, comparing chances that alcohol and cigarettes will kill me to those that I will get killed in space... it's a rather easy decision"she winked at Emily.
She leaned in, listening to what Stirling had to say.
A collaboration with the Reavers? She shrugged, she guessed having two large, lethal groups in one place seemed acceptable, Reavers on the front lines, while the IND did back room 'negotiating'.
Danielle rose to her feet after finishing her beverage. She gave Stirling a daring look, she felt like she was back in college.
Emily listened carefully, taking a sip from her glass every so often as Lachina spoke.
she tilted her head, this story sounded very familiar to her, though Emily couldn't help but think that this was a setup.
As Lachina finished up, Emily refused the cigarettes. Though couldn't understand why in her life she decided to do Cardamine but not take up smoking.
Emily nodded, disrupting her thoughts.
"True, you can never be too careful"
She went back to looking across the bar, though she kept Lachina in the corner of her eye.
Amber had her mouthful of vodka when Cerise mentioned awaking to girls. Some slipped through her lips. "Oh, I didn't realize..." she said after wiping away the vodka which dripped down onto her chin.
Was Cerise hitting on Emily?
Emily was gob smacked, speechless.
It took some time for Emily to regain her voice. "Uhhh, no..no your not boring me...of course not."
Emily laughed at herself.
"I'm okay, finally got some stability, got some credits to spend on clothes and general things to spend money on."
Amber looked at Lach, still smiling, trying to figure out how the conversation ended up here.
