I added all the capital ships in vanilla in one scene. I also added the Discovery Lib GB and the nom cruiser because they are of decent quality. The Kusary gb and cruiser are scaled 2x and the Rheinland, Nomad and Kusari battleships are scaled down 0.5x. Now we have a nice uniform picture.
Edited cause i butchered the ku des in the first one.
And edited again cause the bret gb was also hit by the axe.
Ok, i have estimated the size of the liberty dreadnought using the following calculations and assumptions. We have in the game files a model for the pilot. Importing that into sketch up and measuring it with the measure tape tool there gave me a head and torso length of 0.02 m. The liberty dread measured in the same way gave a length of approximately 12.5 m from the tip to the engine.
Assuming the pilot in the game files is Edison Trent who was played in this game by Ian Ziering who has a height of 1.81 m or 5 feet 11'25" and a head+torso / body length of 0.4 then:
#The height of the pilot in Freelancer is 0.05 m measured in sketch up, meaning 0.05 m corresponds to 1.81 m in real life, then:
#The length of the liberty dread is 452.5 m or 494.86 yd or 0.28 miles.
Looks for me way more realistic that the Lib Dread is bigger than Rheinland BS. Lib is a Dreadnought and thus should be bigger in size than a Battleship.

Oh, just that Liberty doesn't have the raw resources to construct huge lumbering shells of metal. While Rheinland does. Do you remember how NPCs on Oder shipyard whined about not having the technology for superconductors? Rheinland isn't as technologically advanced as Liberty and thus relies on bigger designs.
