Shawarma, Shuberek and Kebab as food specialties of the Coalition. Pure mineral water bottles as luxury exports of the most clean planets. Toys for our kids! (produced in house space, with high prices in systems like the Omicrons) Race lane parts as an Ageira commodity. Good prices in systems with racing courses. Personal Neural-Net Terminals (iPhones) as an IND export commodity. Expensive as hell everywhere but would take a lot of cargo space in order to show how good they sell. Condoms produced by Cryer and with good sale points in Gallia. No sale points on OC, Order, Coalition, (lawful) Bretonian, GC and CR bases.
so it only would be logical to add (camping) toilets and toilet paper/tissues as well.
Besides that I'd like to see a:
Functional Repair-Ship using repair-lasers that cunsumpt stuff like reinforced alloy, hull panels and such, preferably with a real good shield (bs shield maybe) to enable it to survive the time needed to repair another ship in battle.
I would like to see a specific commodity for each faction, that they have monopoly on. Like trade/lane parts for Ageira, Artifacts for sairs, Cardamine for OCs and some more I cannot remember. Monopoly in the sense, the said faction can fine/hunt down other factions that are trying to trade/steal those commodities.
A lot of what is being suggested would fall under the "Consumer Goods" label, for which we already have such a commodity.
I've been saying this awhile now, but there's an odd bit of generalization going on with trade commodities. For example: we have a generic commodity "Mining Machinery," but also a more specific commodity of "Drill Bits," which, IMO, would fall under the former category. You also have Passengers, Tourists, and Vacationers, which seem redundant (the last two, especially).
We have Refugees but no Immigrants, legal or otherwise.
There are also Light Arms and Military Vehicles, but nothing really in between: no medium or heavy arms, and no military grade atmospheric vehicles (airplanes, jets, VTOLs).
There are no cars, buses, trucks, or trains.
No Uranium Ore (although there is a radioactive field of it in Leeds surrounding LD-14).
No livestock.... of any kind.
We have both Tobacco AND Cigars and even Synthetic Marijuana, but no Opium. No LSD either.
No sex workers of any kind, unless they would fall under the "Slaves" category., although that would also assume that prostituition is illegal everywhere, or the more unlikely reality that people in Sirius are just monogamous.
There's no Lumber.
There's no Furniture (unless it falls under Consumer or Luxury Goods)
Speaking of which, we HAVE Luxury Goods, but also more specific Juyno Pearls, Luxury Food, Diamonds (no other precious gems) but no generic Jewelry otherwise (other than Gold, Silver, Platinum).
So, yeah....there's room to work with the commodities a bit, get rid of some redundancies, and maybe diversify some of the generic stuff a bit.
