that is impossible, you can still stop the battleships cause of the Cloak Disruptor range, even the Cloak Disruptor MK I able to stop it if the cloaked ship stays in 3k range. otherwise, Cloak Disruptor MK III has 100% possibility to stop the cloaked ship it has 9k range, battleships can't run away.
Yes, everything is possible. Doesn't mean the weird shit doesn't need to be rebalanced. It's simply Cruise Disruptors aren't meant to disrupt a charging cloak. As one said, they are currently an all-in-one thing to disrupt everything: Engine Kill, cruise, charging cloaks and jump drives. Compare it with a cloak disruptor that disrupts running cloaks but has only so many shots.
Sneaking away is possible, but very hard, since you have to give up the CM for the cloak. Again, here is the CD overpowered. Especially against bigger ships that are slow and need more time to charge the cruise engines. The only way to sneak away from a fight in a capital ship is already being away 3.0k during cruise mode. Otherwise, you will just spammed with CDs.
So I guess the fairest solution would be to adjust the cloaking times of smaller ships while also disabling cruise disruptors to disrupt cloaks. Small ships still need to be careful and be dodgy - something what bigger ships can't be, especially not battleships.

If you got further than 4k, you're fine.
Again, Cloak Disruptors are rare. Like I said, don't be predictable when turning on your cloak. There are tricks to rouse Cloak Disruptors too.

What do you mean they aren't meant to disrupt cloaks? There were no cloaks in vanilla for players to disrupt so there is no basis to judge. The fact they do is a dev's decision which pretty much means they decided they're meant to do so.

Then I have a right to say that I disagree with your opinions and that everything is fine.
