"Let's head in, I'm a bit hungry and.. don't like being cold. What do you say, Lindsay?" Nicole leaned up, enjoying the sunset alongside Allen. "Sure is beautiful here."
"Alrighty.." He stood up, picking up the umbrella and folding it back up, setting it off to the side as he packed up the rest of the towels and sand equipment.
"Nikki.." Lindsay sat up, looking at the bigger woman with her beady six year old eyes.
Allen paid attention to the two while he packed, occasionally looking their way. He'd finally stuffed the towels in the bag when Lindsay had gained enough courage to ask her question.
"Are you my mommy now..?"
Allen stopped for a moment, looking to Nicole. He didn't say anything, implying that he wanted her to answer.
"Well.. looks like its going to be that way, but I can only do that if you want me to be." Nicole was a little thrown off by the question, not exactly knowing the best answer. She looked to her again, hoping her reaction was a good one.
"Hehe, okay, C'mon, let's get inside so we can eat." Nicole stood up, putting the young girl up on her shoulders, walking back alongside Allen."Guess who's happy."
"I'm gonna guess either the lovely lady on your shoulders.. or the lovely lady holding her.."
He slung the bag over his shoulder, carrying the umbrella in his hand. He held his other out to Lindsay, who grabbed it happily.
