I'd love to get into the real classified stuff, but that could get me into real hot water with Cpt. Adamson. But just lettin ya know that Kusari aint to be trusted. Buy y'all need to remember that we serve Liberty. I know that we are all itchin' for a fight. And the I see it it may not be long in comin'. But our first duty is to the citizens of Liberty. I don't care what a bunch a stuffed suits and empty blowholes on Manhatten say, my marines and I are ready to kick butt. And if it comes down to one Liberty citizen comin to harm, I'll pull the entire Kusari empire down myself. Liberty Forever!

It is with a heavy heart that I must report our endeavors in renovating Virginia's military installations into our headquarters is, at this moment, in beaucratic limbo. However, I must add that our civilian leaders are considering our desire with true seriousness and respect. Let not your hearts be troubled, as in battle, we shall prevail in this campaign.
Captain, as per our conversation, I write to inform you on the layout of LNS-RedBear and my analysis of her performance for your review in outfitting our sister ship the LNS-Thunderbolt. A truly fine vessel, with lines that brought this old-salt close to a tear. I digress.
On the subject of weapons. The LNS-RedBear holds 12 emplacements for 10 class 9 turrets and 2 class 10, as you are aware. However, I have procured only 2 class 9 infernos (shield busters) and 2 class 9 razors (armor slicers), and placed in the first 4 emplacements. In my last 10 emplacements have 8 cruiser turrets, and 2 class 10 BS turrets. They have served the LNS-RedBear well. However, the logic of these choices is that with just two of each and using all avaliable power I have attained in both categories (inferno and razor), with 2 cruiser turrets offline, the ability to gain a sustained 12-15 volleys of either, totaling 24-30 effective rounds down range. Total power focused on an enemy's shield or armor is (using low figure) 480,000 shield and 384,000 armor. Remember, only using the low range to determine numbers and, also, not taking into consideration damage provided by other 8 weapons.
In the manuverability category our Frigates are slow due to the lack of thrusters just like BS vessels. However, our slim profile is an advantage. In addition, our Frigates handle well in cruise in open space and in rock fields. This is a great advantage and provides us the ability to project power within the "supposed" protected havens of Pirates.
Overall, in a one-on-one situation, the Liberty Assualt Frigate is a true challange to any BS or DN, i.e. review my posts during Cali Battles I & II. Especially the LNS-RedBear's engagement with Skylanzer, a BS engagement at Cali Minor.

P.S. Regardless of promotion the LNS-RedBear is, and for the forseeable future, my Flagship:)
It's great to hear that your flagship is in good operation, Governor.
My feelings towards this recent event remain unchanged, despite strong pressure from my men to assist the SA into Tau-31, and pressure from the President of the 12 colonies to stay out of this conflict. I will speak more about this as soon as possible.
In addition, Captain Adamson, you are going to be put under the command of Governor Red Bear on this taskforce, along with Lieutenant Joe Davis. I suggest that you scramble the Thunderbolt asap.
Gurney out.

Greetings, gents.
I've seen all the fine work you've all done first hand through some intel, and I must say that I am very impressed.
While I believe that many of you seem to have a disdain for us stuffed-suit desk brass, I'd like to conclude that it was a good idea to establish the SA, as we can all see. But, per se, the SA is powerless against the rest of Sirius. You need good allies, and I see some right around the corner in Bretonia.
The SA will participate in peacekeeping operations in Tau-31. This is a direct order from us stuffed-suits.
Do not fail us.

Greetings
Captain, it is a pleasure to have the LNS-Vahalla, and yourself, in my command and, let me say, your reputation proceeds you. At this moment we are awaiting more definitive information and disposition of forces for this endeavor, and I shall keep you up-to-date on your duties. For the moment, provide me with your current level of readiness. If lacking for anything, inform me immediately and I shall shake the cobbwebs from the Quartermaster's pen, or procure your requirements myself. Lt. Davis, same applies to you in relation to your fighter.
My compliments gentlemen

....Hot dang it that stuff-shirt must be from Texas. Finally, we bring the fight to the enemy instead of flying defense wooohoooo....what, ahh, speak up man, what?!...God dang it turn the bloodything off yo..........
Sir, the LNS Thunderbolt is almost ready for active service. She has the largest shield generator my engineers could cram into her (lvl 10 BS Graviton) and the hull upgrade (mark VII) has been completed. Paints drying as we speak. Unfortunatly I have only been able to procure about half of the firepower I need. I have no idea where to get inferno's or razors. But I did find something i think might help the power to damage ratio. You said that you have two turrets turned off. If we replace them with missle turrets they provide the punch with out the energy drain. I have two already and can pick up some more if you need. A more in depth report is pending. Any help you could give us would be great. Thanks Cpt.

On the question of engagement rules, it must be stated that, though of Texas stock, we are not gunslingers, regardless what may have been inadvertantly overheard due to a certain crewmembers idea of a joke. Interestingly, he is at this moment counting the micro-asteriod scratchs on the LNS-RedBear's bow armor. However, I digress into home-keeping duties.
As of this moment, I am sending orders to all of Texas Squadron this command upon entering Tau-31. No ship under my command shall open hostilities against any Kusari vessel in Tau-31. If hostilities are to commence it shall be Kusari which fires first. Along this vein, standard formation shall be all Texas Squadron ships shall place their vessel between charges and Kusari. On the issue of pirates and terrorists, it has always been my rule of thumb, KOS, but not at the expense of our charges. Their safety paramount.
My compliments,

...pause...what the heck...I am going to keel haul that com-crewman....*cough*....what do you mean no memo....if this another joke...your on bow watch without a sui...
Excuse me Captain. It seems there must be a miscommunication, however, don't get me wrong, love to have ya and the Thunderbolt. I was under the assumption of only the LNS-Vahalla and Lt. Davis being transfered into my command. Regardless, consider your self part of Texas Squadron, at least for this mission. If command gives ya problems refer them to me.
On your weapon procurement, Razors or Infernos (one or the other) can be found at Freeport 11 in Omnicron Delta, both can be found in the Unknown system (2 Zoner planets) to the south of OD system, as well as, Armor upgrade VIII. On the point of missles, they take power and slightly more than cruiser turrets. I suggest, with respect, avoid missles, however, it is your command.
Welcome home
Cpt. RedBear
Ooc: ok, Cpt. Adamson=LNS-Vahalla, right? and Cpt. Rhaegar=LNS-Thunderbolt, right? The old man has Cpt. Adamson=LNS-Thunderbolt, ahh, there the problem. Choose the one ya wish.

Pilots, I've just received some new orders. The rumors you've all heard are true... some of you will be heading out to Tau-31 soon...and I fully intend for all those who go to come back. I'm ordering a full shakedown for all of our fighter wings and ships: let's make sure they're in top shape and fully equipped. We're also going to accelerate our training program.
One more thing. I know a lot of you are itching to fight...get that out of your system NOW. We're not declaring war on anyone. The rules of engagement will be simple: you may fire to defend yourself and anyone you are escorting. You will to follow orders to the letter. Even if attacked, you will not abandon any ships you are protecting. If that means that an enemy pilot gets away, so be it. I'll say it again: our mission is protective, and we will use absolutely minimal force.

I've just sent out a general transmission to California fleet to get themselves ready. We'll be ready to roll.
