LNS Columbia and SA Milrick was on patrol in Liberty space when we receive an SOS from the KNF. Honshu was being sieged by a multi organization incursion. We responded immediately and set sail for Honshu.
Upon reaching Honshu we found the KNF heavily under fire from several vessels, namely : .Destroyer - Outcast Destroyer (Outcast), Reineros - Fighter (Outcast), Seishou Kaku - Talarca Cruiser (Blood Dragons), Ryoshi Tekaga - Fighter (Blood Dragons). We immediately engaged and concentrated our firepower on the Outcast Destroyer. It was soon heavily damaged and retreated. Next we were up against the slippery Talarca. He too was eventually damaged and retreated from battle. The 2 fighters were taken down immediately.
During the course of battle, SA Milrick suffered and engine failure and had to bail out. His escape pod was tractored in by LNS Columbia and he is now i stable condition at the Navy Hospital. He'll be combat ready asap as he suffered only minor scratches. His fighter need replacement though as its now a huge piece of scrap which will be of use to the junkers. LNS Columbia suffered moderate damages and is now docked at Norfolk for repairs. Estimate out of action for a week as priority was given for the Missouri.
I would also like to highlight that a majority of damaged incurred by Columbia was caused by a double headed snake named Ace.Domingo.Lopez. He had arrived during battle and seeked KNF approval to join the battle as GOR was his enemy. KNF granted and we were fighting alongside. Soon as the enemy retreated and Columbia was about to set sail for home, the snake opened fired and damaged Columbia. This in turn made the KNF angry and he was hunted by them. Columbia made it to Norfolk with barely enough hull.
General Announcement: The SA Promotion Board is close to releasing the newest promo-list. Final decision will be posted later today (ooc: once I return from work and receive confirmation from a couple of others). Gentlemen make yourselves ready:)
Comm Identification: LtCdr. Kaine
Transmit To: Admiral Thor, Head of California Squadron
I apologize for my lack of communications, (homework...) damned paper-pushing. As my loadout is nearly complete, I am requesting 1 nuclear mine, 1 adv cm dropper, 2 codename class weapons(whatever you have on hand), and if possible, 1 adv. debilitator. This will complete my Avenger-class fighter, which I've named, the Decimator.
This has been a period of calm in California. The Hellfire Legion has made no intrusions, it looks like they're done with us. A few random traders in and out... More reports soon.
I have a request to make. I am formally submitting my application for the LEF spot of executive officer. It has come to my attention, that the stop has yet to be filled, and it is necessary to have a qualified XO to back even the best of commanders.
For the Alliance!!!!Kaine out.
I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.

First patrol was quiet. No hostiles in sight. Hoping the next patrol gives me something to do... *sigh*

Second patrol was more eventful. A Rogue Destroyer was picked up on scanners and immeadiately engaged. The fight was tough and bloody. Chalk another victory to the SA:

I would like to express my concern over the choice to send the new LEF fleet to the Taus. I believe to send any military forces into the war between Kusari and Bretonia may suck us all into a fight we don't want to be in, and thus, put all of Liberty in danger. I can not sit back and let this happen.
At this moment operational orders are pending for the LEF, however, it must be pointed out the only concrete positions are the CO and XO slots. In additon, all LEF (Commodore on down) units are charged with a dual role of providing a dedicated ship for the LEF, but must maintain a primary vessel for Liberty patrol and defense. Each unit is allowed only 1 ship in the LEF within their paygrade, i.e. Lt. GB/Fighter. Due to the unique nature of the LEF and operations outside Liberty space new vessels maybe used in addition to the traditional listings. Opened for consideration are Osiris BS and Raven fighters for all are based upon Liberty tech.
Another aspect of the new CoC is that Admiral RedBear is being kicked up-stairs to take command of the Combined Fleet. RedBear's promotion will open the Texas Squadron to a new rising STAR. However, the position shall not be available for 2-4 weeks, which provides all spirited officers an opportunity to dream of an Admiral's star.
Regards
SA Promotion Board
Addendum: LEF tagging shall be [SA]-LEF-Name, and reason for limitation is that the LEF is a supplemental force for combined actions and not an invasion force. By limiting number of vessels we reduce tension with Allies and Sector community in general. In addition, this is why the LEF is commanded by a Commodore rather than an admiral. By limiting the level of the rank it allows for the LEF to fit better within an Ally's command structure. Also, all personnel within the LEF are limited to one ship. The CO and XO of the LEF must also provide an existing ship for Liberty patrol and defense.
(ooc: Thor, the Commodore's rank insigna is a Golden Eagle as opposed to the Captain's Silver)
