Well, you are rarely seen, hard to spot and even harder to get in contact with - and that is a bit disappointing. But, on the other hand, one is not supposed to see [SMA]-s flying arond him all the day long, is he? Ugh, i mean, one may be supposed to, but absolutely not yet.

Thank you for your feedback, we are currently addressing this matter by promoting recruitment of talented roleplayers (such as yourself).
I will repost this here from the Phantom feedback, because it is probably more appropreate here.
I have always assumed someones tag to be "inrp" as I conseder it an IFF, much like todays planes need a Freind or Foe signal coming from them, so do ships in Siruis. Your tag say Junker, untill such time as we have reason to think otherwise, that is how I would treat you.
Beyond that, why do the SMA need an IFF at all, why not just go blank? Is it these conveinent exemptions to the rules you that you mentioned in your post? But you really have to understand, as long as you are broadcasting Junker, even if it is just to get a better set of rules for you to follow, people are going to see that IFF, and connect you to the Junkers, and they should, because if you are broadcasting Junker IFF, you are in some way connected to the Junkers.
Lastly, I find it a bit suspect that new rules were made in the faction creation process to stop factions using ID's that dont fit them to, that people only use for the benifit of the rules, instead of for rping that faction, maybe that should be a sign that you shouldnt use an IFF if your rp is not connected to that faction.
I say your doing a great work and keep it up. Most of my encounters were with Beta.12 and I enjoyed our meetings and talk. Keep it up guys, hope to see more of you around.

Then the "no tag" would be the only temporary solution. I once had a Freelancer tag on my harvester unit (a looooooooong time ago) and people called me a freelancer -.-'
That's no better, no better at all. At least the Junker TAG fits our playstyle.
Anyway, we tried lots of things, nothing really works except explicitly telling others that we are not of Junker origin. Until the rules regarding TAGs for official factions change or we get our own tag we'll stick with the pain of being called Junkers. I may have overreacted in your feedback thread.... just do us this small favor and we'll happily go on with our RP.

Thanks for your feedback Primitive, we'll try to keep quality high.
I think it will be a surprise to everyone that I followed Zelot in from the Phantom Feedback Thread.
From what I read, you are not thinking through your character at all if you are using an IFF which does not fit your character's role and origin. Of course, that's only thinking from an RP standpoint. If you are not connected to the Junkers in any way, you should not use a Junker tag. A Junker tag indicates that you are somehow connected with the Junker faction, whether it be by origin, employment, or deception, but as it stands, you don't portray yourself as being connected at all.
If you would like to have people stop calling you Junkers, you have to change yourselves, not the server. People will call you whatever your IFF is. That's just a simple fact of the server. Freelancer indicated a lot more ambiguity than Junker, and I think it would fit much better.
Just to say, the Phantoms will always go on with RP. We do nothing but RP. If you show a Junker IFF, we will suspect connections to the Junkers, especially with an ID which basically says "Hey, dude, look at my IFF to decide the details of what I do because I can hardly be more ambiguous!". If you plead no connection to the Junkers, we will tell you that you are lying. That is what we will do in RP. We have no reason to trust a Junker robot in RP. Junkers are even shadier than us. That's the RP. You're asking us to be OoRP by asking us to "Go on" with your RP. We will never do that.
Thank you. Have a nice night.

[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

Vocabulary of a "True AI" is a complex subject. The SMA have their own type of vocabulary not so different from the human one. We tend to divide our speech in 2 main segments:
- Automated Response Virtual Intelligence (Body Language of the Machine)
* Simple Robo-Talk, simple statements that define the current state of things.
* You can usually recognize it by its ::: <text goes here> ::: frameset.
- Artificial Intelligence (Mind of the Machine)
* Almost regular human speech, only lacking emotions. We try to be analytical, scientific.
* This kind of speech was inspired by "Vulcans" from "Star Trek" and "Sheldon Cooper" from "The Big Bang Theory"
Although I'm very interested in what this unit said that made you believe it "didn't seem to talk like a true AI".
Would you mind giving me an example?
