A funny thing happened to me yesterday. First off, I was promoted, but that's not the funny thing. Thanks again to the Command Staff for having the confidance in me. I was enroute to San Francisco ship yards when I spotted the LNS Thor's Hammer being towed out of dock. I raised Traffic Control and they told me she was bing taken out for final decommissioning (which means being sent into the sun). I couldn't let my fathers first command go without an honor guard so I was allowed to follow. I was even given a final tour and asked to be a part of the send off salute. Under 21 guns the Hammer was set on course. I watched with a sense of lose as she sailed into the suns corona. But that's not the funny part either. When I got back to S.F. I was handed my new assignment, a new Enforcer Class Gunboat. I know my family name isn't the most popular in the Navy right now but I couldn't think of a better name for my new command then the LNS Thor's Hammer. The dockmaster scowled but recorded her registry. As soon as the shake down is complete we will be out there on the front lines. Oh Lt. Magnum, congrats on your promotion as well. Adamson out.
