i feel like the use of Cadiz is misinterpreted. and i've edited the bio accordingly.
Quote:The general hostility to their genetically modified nature has made the Do̱rieís an exceedingly isolationist group, occupying only a small portion of Cadiz, preferring to live aboard their ships for months on end.

they dock, get supplies, get out
edit: As far a the tag tracker goes i think alt+923 would work. it produces: Λ
Either use Corsair ID, or I would say find another base to use. Lot's of Freeports around the area. Unfortunately, I have been through this before. A group writes their rp to be close enough with the Sairs to use their tech, as a way around actually rping to get relations that way with the Sairs. You want to be close with the Sairs, rp it out, just don't write your own story so we are best friends.
Its extremely difficult to RP when there is absolutely nothing there to begin with. I mean that there needs to be some kind of background before i walk up to the Corsairs and go "hi can we shoot the stuff you shoot?" It's because the xenophobic nature of the Corsairs prevents that. Starting with a somewhat shared history (hundreds of years are difficult to RP in a few communications messages) helps to ameliorate that, but you'll noticed i added information about tension between the groups. I want to build a faction with a Corsair heritage, but not the "pirate's life for me" mentality.
If you're worried about me attempting avoid roleplay completely by the history, don't. This is meant to be a roleplay focused faction.
Well written, nice story, I like it. Bit too much 300 in some parts.
You can do all that with Corsair ID and IFF, I don't see a reason not to use it or that it limits you. After all you've been living on corsairs bases for the last 3 centuries. You survive in harsh conditions but you still fight Hessians and you salvage goods and raid shipments of food, hunting corsair posted bounties, and you're like 6 generations from your Corsair ancestors Spartiatai - sounds corsair to me
How about adding light fighter branch who are used to escort freighters ?
And I wouldn't even use gunboats, keep it simple with snubs and freighters.
Maybe liner as a flag ship and your base when you're traveling to omicrons - polis type of thing
My 2 cents.

It gives that 300 vibe ,like you're telling as a long lost myth, and the words -first hundred- just remind me of the movie.
Quote:Once the trial of battle is complete, the young men must complete a six month stay in Omega 58, where heavy radiation will harden and shape their bodies for battle and remind them of the hardships of the First Hundred.
Too much kid with a spear in the winter. I would remove this as a whole.
RP bit not related to 300
Quote:The agoge is perhaps the most well-known feature of the Do̱rieís, the rite of passage of a youth into the service of the spartiatai. Although subject to change, their current training ground is in Hammen Hole of Omega 5, where young men are sent to train against each other and against the Hessians.
I think this is enough to get into service, why would you send your potential scavangers away for six month with small population like that.

Weapons and Armaments: Any that can be found in wrecks. Unsalvageable equipment may be purchased.
From your story no way you could have BW or zoner ships, maybe civilian ones since they're cheaper inRP and you could have got them from zoners. And mostly you've been living on corsair bases, so corsair ones for sure.
Would love to see you with all kind of equipment, guns not matching and things like that.

To use corsair ships, i would be forced to go full corsair ID for tech reasons, which might cause RP issues with the isolationist roleplay, however i might stay on the corsair ID until we can create our own. Although we most likely wouldn't be using the piracy roleplay of the ID.
P.S. in regards to the agoge, i think you may be right about 6 months being extreme. however, i don't want to remove it completely as it is meant to play into a strong sense of heritage.

Well, you could ask people on forum to RP with you as isolated group, I mean...as mutual ignoring I guess.
Also, since there was 100 of you 300 years ago, and with high mortality rate and infertility, I still see you too small of a group to waste young pilots on such task. Do the math. You have with all those problem population of like...1000 tops ?
