It's fine, jesus. People just AFK outside freeports in the omicrons then get nom'd while they're taking a leak/getting yelled at by their moms/grabbing another 2L of dew and doritos, then whine on the forums endlessly like they deserve special treatment for being such a special snowflake.

I would hate for it to become 'safe' and lose the allure.

Second, since this is about indies considering 99% K'Hara do RP first, there is no ship they can use that can insta kill. Unless you are AFK or just sitting there, and even then MAYBE a gunboat could. So really, where is this insta-kill situation everyone brings up? I just said in a Skype chat that I fly through the Omicrons all the time, and only ONCE in the past year have I found a Nomad that uncloaked and started attacking. I got away fine and was in a Whale of all things.
So this abuse/insta-kill/unfairness? I see zero evidence of such.
Lastly, Omicrons are a dangerous place...

Well, that basically sums it up
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
So I was lying when I said it is being abused, Drobbe, you may had onlytone scenario but i've had countlessand I fly in the omicrons on a daily basis, that counts. Moreover, the fact that its open to abuse is a good enough reason to doubt the potential of it. Secondaly, I'm not the only one whos against it, and i've already maintained my previous position that most who are in favour are actually nomads/wilde themselves - so I could always claim bias, none the less its perfectly natural for them to defend their toys - I'm sure you know my deep rejection to any anti-zoner issue, unless it falls under a serious threat to the community - and this one, might one day be. Infact just by discussing this subject that we create an exposure of this kind of behaviour. The solution is to grant them fuel so that people can actually MEET these nomads and to know that even they are limited on the cloak option. Infinite cloak means an infinite attempts to be hidden and not be seen, and with the current state of the server - people that are visible is what I'd like to see.

I feel like what you're referring to is mostly indie noms. I might be wrong, who knows, but thats what it seems like. All the encounters I've ever had with K'Hara have been great fun, and they definitely don't sit there cloaked, only to uncloak and insta-kill you, and then cloak up again so they can't die. Much to the contrary. If it's such a big problem as you say it is (which, maybe it is, I don't play that many factions in the Omicrons) - then give the cloaks that indie noms use fuel, or restrict cloaks to K'Hara, or something. 'cause at least from what I've seen the K'Hara folk do not practice this behavior that you're talking about.
Ive got no issues with Khara cloaks, I do have issues with indies. This infinite-cloak grants them access to all places without being detected and enable them to target each person in term. I think that if the devs are unwilling to change it that they also give humans infinite cloak so that our human indies can also farm iota and wait for nomnoms to come - perhaps then these people who keep telling me its a "dangerious place" will understand how unfair that is.
The whole omicron revision can go right through a black hole, whats the point of all this if one faction has the upper-hand, the ultimate weapon if you like.
More to the point, what we are asked is not only to "deal with it" , but also be sitting ducks, without any previliege when it comes to countering nomads.
Increase the Nomad light cloak charge to 30-40-50 seconds. I am not against infinite cloak as well, I am against using it as an escape plan to regen and come back and then escape again. Chasing is hard enough these days.

It already is 30 seconds, it is very hard to use it to escape, so what do you really want?
