The perks are a joke.
Too many overlapping official factions, disappearing guard systems, I could go on.
Why even bother to go official?
Especially when a pack of 5 or 6 kids with no other responsibilities can out-log a 'legacy' faction in a month's time, wipe out the last shreds of dignity - and then get bored and move on to another faction two months later.
Seen it already - we will see it again.
EDIT: when more than one official faction per ID is allowed to exist, this will ever be the dynamic.
Agree wholeheartedly. As an Admin, I have had nothing but problems with multiple factions per ID. Too many chiefs, and lots of OORP hate between them.
Yeah, I must agree if there is one faction but made of two factions (in fact), it fuels hate, even in real life.
For example, I am currently the witness of the neverending brawl between two Polish Furry Fandoms (sites, to be more exact), which just can't get s**t together between them. Hell, I've even been kicked (kinda) from both, as I didn't want to pick sides. The same applies to the factions on Disco.
But on the other hand, it happens with real police or every other political, economical and so on party or group. Back in time, government of the one nation made it very strong on the political arena, but when the new ones got into the government - its position deteriorated. I can say the same about the faction thingies.
