This thread situation again shows, as so many times before, that:
-Zoner ID should be split into 2 or more IDs (or call one Zoner and the other super-neutral space hippie with unlimited ZOI) which allow for: 1. A more aggressive behavior combined with associated nerfs in ZOI and nerfs in "neutrality privileges", and 2. Neutrality combined with either (heavy) nerfs in ship strength and cargo size or very limited ZOI and permissions. On that note, don't say "choose another ID like Core or Freelancer" again. The designation "Zoner" means people who seek life in remote places, nothing more, nothing less. By shoe-horning everyone into factions with strictly prescribed RP you're laying to waste enormous amounts of fun, creativity, and ambition, which are the main reason why people would want to play this game in the first place.
-It should be made possible and actually worth the effort (meaning that it should take much, much less effort) to become an official faction or gain associated privileges through nothing but your own accomplishments (and not through what other people choose to think of it for what ever personal reasons they may have), so you can actually FR5 and effectively defend yourself against people who attack and troll you time and time again.
-Many people in high places here either have problem-solving skills that make is amazing that they're able to tie their own shoe-laces, or they have absolutely no interest in friendly player relations and are purposely catering to trolls, bullies, and violation baiters, or they refuse to solve problems simply because they're too stubborn. On that note, it would be interesting to know who these pirates who shot people on one day and then reported them for shooting back on the other actually are, and how serious admins are on their purported harsher enforcement of 1.2.
Mimir, I find your suggestion that the Mossad acts like a Freelancer ID and only works for money incredibly antisemitic. You are a bad man. Also, if you read what is already written in the thread, you would see that your solution doesn't work.

I guess it's not really an issue with the Zoner ID.
For example, freelancer cannot engage a pirate even if the previous one attacked the first one severals time before ( of course outside of a bounty ).
That works for almost all the ID : as a molly you cannot engage a BMM transport even if it's full of gold ore, despite telling him severals time before, not to so.You'll still have to make a demand that mustn't be met before engaging.
So, yes the ID are very restrictives, but they're usefull to enforce what type of character you 're playing.
Otherwise you'll see Lolberty dread in the Omicrons or in Dublin ....
Wait ....
Does this already happen every day ?
