Huh; are you sure about that? We've lost about 10000 (!) accounts since yesterday (it was at 19405 yesterday according to this post) and we're now down to 9078. Hasn't the "account older than 30 days with 0 posts" cleanup been performed before? I do believe I've heard that mentioned before, at least.
PS: It seems to be quite a bit more than that, as I can't find a single non-recent account with less than three posts on the first 32 pages of members. If this was done intentionally I'd very strongly suggest at least giving some warning before deleting more than half of all registered accounts overnight, and particularly so for accounts with a non-zero post count.
I ran a quick query in the Admin CP and I see 200 users with 0 posts in the past 30 days.
I've also found 2100 users with less than or equal to 5 posts.
edit: and no, that thing was never done before but it should have.
