Hogosha - the activities I would like to do with a Hogosha are not something that you'd do on a tagged character, sadly.
An understandable concern, as a faction trying to uphold the Hogosha would want to keep their good looks. However, I have heard several times of folks who both wish to do that on the wrong side of the law stuff, and people who want to see more Hogosha doing that stuff.
If I may be so bold, I would like to promote a second way hogosha group dedicated to breaking the law and bringing chaos to the enemies of Our establishment. The Hogosha Association will support the creation of such autonomous group.
(P.S. contact Ramke, he also wanted to become a bad guy hogosha)
P.P.S. - After promoting my interests, I would also suggest adding some muscle to GRN, and through rp push some of their focus to the Taus as well, to stimulate the Council, OC, and even native gallic factions into more activity.
Trying out some OC or Corsair action would also be a fine choice.
I love quasi-lawful IDs such as the Junkers, Hogosha, Zoners and such, but people LOVE shoving roleplay consequences down others throats for their own benefit, so playing tagged ships with those IDs is just something I do not enjoy. I mean, I had characters like that before and they were known names and suffered consequences for shady actions like any other, but at least in those events 20 other people flying the same faction did not glare at me. Know what I mean?

Well, Hogosha are already outlawed in Bretonia, and yet you can't do much on your initiative there. You have a fine selection of enemies in the Sigmas, with the only choices left being if you decide to alienate Rheinland corps or not, and Core or RM.
On the Taus side, even more enemies and fewer allies. You get to decide if you (or a group you come up with) decides to be more buddy buddy with the Council, or with the Royals side. Exiles kind of thank you for any support, CR and Outcasts will keep hate your guts most of the time.
The regulations that prohibit House lawfuls from reacting upon occasional offences that happen only outside of their borders should allow corporations to be more daring in their feuds, but also semi-lawfuls to be more daring in showing less courtesy to the Big Money outside of the House courtyard.
I'm a sort of person that loves to avoid conflict, so this faction which I'm a big influence steers in such a way. We lack the aggressive gene some would attribute to the "space Yakuza".
Besides Corsairs and Outcasts (which are IMHO most fun to play), I would suggest you to try some of the less played factions such as Unioners or Farmers Alliance, both have interesting lore, just lack members who are willing to put an effort into it. Good luck with whatever you try!
