- Works for me. - Flora agreed on Redfire's proposal to leave and got up. She then focused her attention on Xalo as he, unsurprisingly, began to yell the moment he noticed her. She then just listened to the conversation while standing behind Redfire. Once he signaled her, she simply went to the exit, ignoring Xalo. Once she reached it, however, she looked back at him and winked while smiling lightly. She then vanished behind the door.
Xalo lost control when he saw Flora leaving the bar and Redfire protecting her. He threw the switchblade he had to Redfire's leg and then rushed through the door ,pushing the injured Redfire to the ground. Damn, where did she go?
Redfire was laying on the floor, he dropped his leather jacket, undressed his shirt and put it between his teeth as he pulled the switchblade from his leg, then, cut some material from it and used it to bandage the wound on his leg.
He put his jacket back on.
Redfire crawled on the floor towards the first chair and leaned on it, he used it as support for his wounded leg and followed Xalo outside the bar.
There he stopped for a brief second to look at Xalo, before handing him his switchblade back. So you're convinced the universe is ending, yet you'd still kill me to get to Flora.
This is what I wanted to see from you.
Now apply this to all your enemies, including the Nomads.
Redfire stared Xalo in the eyes for a brief second, before pointing with his head towards the security outdoor who came to ensure they won't spread the fight any further.
Redfire turned to the security boss.
We're done here, thanks for nothing.
Then Redfire limped away from the bar, grabbing his PDA from his internal jacket pocket and called Flora.
Come to the medical ward. We can talk there without being bothered again.
Flora picked up the call, observing Redfire from a few meters away. She smiled again, amused by the situation.
- Okay. I'll see you there. - she quietly replied to her pad before turning around and leaving towards the medical section. She easily made it there before Redfire. She leaned her back against the wall, next to the entrance, and patiently waited there for him to limp through the station.
The bright white light was reflecting on his blood, his face covered in bruises, scratches and bleeding spots, his hand still dripping blood and his leg leaking through the sheet of material he carved from his shirt.
The man looked at Flora. I'd say sorry for the wait, but if you got here by your own understanding of time, then wait for them to patch me up, according to those standards, it's only gonna be a few.
Redfire limps to a cashier close to the entrance, and pays for his medical treatment.
As soon as the payment is confirmed, the medical staff gets to operate on Redfire without delay, sedating him and stitching his wounds.
- Alright. - Flora replied, wondering when will she get a chance to talk to him with something more than oneliners. She looked at her PMD on her wrist, checking the time. She then began to look through the neural net to pass the time doctors needed to patch Redfire up.
Flora shook Redfire's hand, taking a closer look at him. She was genuinely wondering what could possibly happen in that bar before her arrival.
- Nice to meet you. My side of the story? Well... It was a friend of mine that got hurt. I'd rather not delve into details about what exactly happened to her. I've been out for Nunes and his sidekicks for a few months after that. I did everything I could to pay them back in kind. You can guess the rest. I'm not after him anymore, though I have to admit that ever since we've met on Blackport I'm itching to do it again. That's the entire story, really.
Redfire was visibly surprised when he heard the name "Blackport" Blackport huh? Wanna hear something funny? Just before I got to the Barrier Gate to solve an issue with him, he mentioned having had a fight on Blackport.
There was a brief pause in the conversation, Redfire looked at Flora, then he bursts into laughter. Why are we doing this in the medical ward of the Barrier? There are other bars on the station. Let's find one that's still intact.
- Lead the way then. I'm still a newcomer here. - Flora waited for Redfire to pick a direction before following. - As for the fight... I'm fairly sure we both meant the same incident. He got drunk and thought it's a good idea to hit me with a cue stick for no reason. I've left the club early after that, but I'm fairly sure the Archangels taught him some proper manners.
