So yeah, I bought the game a couple of days ago, and honestly, I can't stop playing it online. It's extremely fun, especially on higher difficulty levels. Cooperation is a must.
Has anyone else got it (note: you need the original in order to play online) and perhaps wants to play? Maybe even get the entire party made of Disco members!
I have the game and yes it is great online... especially on vrs, i would like for game of purely only disco players in vrs, that would be cool ^^

Well, if you are a 'trained Valve hater', then I never even expected you to like it. Twas more like a thread for other, more modest, people. I'm of the principle that, if you don't like a game, then why the hell don't you make one yourself? See if you can do better.:P
Y'know, Tubalcaine, 99% of the games suck, actually. What makes some better than others is the players, stuff like roleplay or even the feelings it gives you when playing it. For example, in this case, I like playing it with a team of intelligent people, not a bunch of lolwutters, because it gives me that nice feeling of cooperation and being able to rely on your friends. I like that so much that I don't care about graphics. I play L4D just for that. A second example would be Freelancer. Simple Freelancer just sucks right now -- it's been what, 5-6 years since it was released? On the other hand, Freelancer + Discovery Community = extremely awesomecake.
All i can say is that L4D is a true survival game, especially on Vrs and on expert.
On your own = your dead
2 of you = your dead
3 of you = might stand a chance
4 of you = could make it, but watch out.
if you like a challenge than l4d is a game for you, i also believe that Etaphreven wanted to know who has the game, not what people thought of it.

I never found it too difficult on expert-Back when I played it me and my group would spawn, then one particular guy would kill all of us. Then, after we had wounded him, he would make it through the first level, saving nobody, and setting off every car alarm.
We'd hate him of course, but it was amusing to watch him sit in a corner beating zombies with a shotgun when he had been vomited on.
I have the game, it's unbelievably addictive.
Trying to get the achievements is tough, some seem downright impossible to get.
In most online games, teamwork is important, but in this game it is ESSENTIAL. While with a good team, the game is fun and winnable, the majority of the time you're stuck with lone wolves who run off and get torn to crap by a Hunter then scream at you why you didn't defend him.
Hopefully if I play with a bunch of people from Disco, we can get some good teamworking... But if it's anything like the friendliness of the forums, we'll all be shooting each other in the face before we leave the safe room :D
Smoker needs improving:(hate when i manage to pull them into melee and i hardly do any damage at all although i have found the smoker does far more damage when he manages to strangle them somehow instead of smacking and hacking heh
cant wait for the Dead Air and Death Toll "movies" to become available for Vs heh
