1; no guarantee whatsoever I will finish this. depends on time and feedback.
2; this is the Mark-I prototype flight-frame. IE I have *not* fixed all the texture mapping issues, placed weapon plates, or even finished cleaning up a few problem spots on the model's shape itself.
Oh and it has no engines yet. :P
So, story time.
I was watching Iron Man yesterday, and had a massive epiphany. a moment of inspiration about the shape for a fighter.
Upon thinking about it a little more, I realized 'The Order has a reconassiance cruiser, but they do not have any kind of small scale stealth and observation platform. They also have no light fighter. Odd thing to be missing for a super secret organization of bad-a** cool alien hunters.'
So I give you, without further ado, the prototype flight frame for the 'Amun' (meaning literally hidden) stealth Light Fighter.
It was conceived as a replacement for the cloaking device.
A stealth and precision assassination instrument for keeping tabs on the nomads or the Guild deep behind enemy lines, penetrating the Z-21 minefield in extreme cases, or taking out medium level single-fighter targets inside enemy ZOI.
My guess for specs would be two class 8 guns, two class 9 guns, and an unusually high armor/shield rating (to compensate for the vast power of the Nomads).
Medium grade agility for an LF, but amazingly good speed/acceleration/thruster.
Again, this is a brainstorm prototype in the rough stages, that includes the specs too.
Id also assume its sold in the Order guard system, because lets face it, what organization gives away its stealth-uber-cool fighter chock full of advanced eyes-only technology to low level, friendly, or passing pilots?
Ok, glorify it, shoot it down, make suggestions, I don't mind so much. it was just an idea. :)
Oooooh, I like this. Although I think someone has already made a model for the Order LF, I prefer this one a lot more! Nice job!
Although...for some reason, the cockpit looks too long when viewed from the side. From the top it looks ok. The longer cockpit worked on the Sekhmet, but here...I don't know.
Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits
On the one hand the shorter cockpit fits overall proportion better,
But a longer cockpit accentuates the curved 'spine' of the ship, a shape I want to play up alot.
I'm sure I can find a good middle-ground before final fabrication. :)
Did I mention I intend to make a custom darker 'stealth' style .mat for it?
Engines will be mounted in the rear of both wings, deep inside cowlings so that they just 'peek' out at normal speeds and only show up more during cruise.
Thats meant to convey some of the 'stealth' impression.
Hmm... I liked this model more than the other one. Actually, you have my go for this. If the development team accepts it, I wouldn't say no to have it in our arsenal.
