To make a long and comprehensive story quick and easy, I will shortly be "finding" an abandoned Rogue Cruiser, towing it back to a shipyard and over some time (months!) I will be rebuilding it using materials sourced through interaction with players. I needed something to spend my money on, and this seemed like a good idea to "earn" myself a capital ship, rather than lol wut my way into one.
The ship will need to be "towed" to Vieques shipyard from a certain desolate system not terribly far from Cassini. That means hiring a heavy lifter, if I can find one.
The issue arises with ID's. Junker Guard ID, as I had originally intended to use, does not allow use of cruisers. I cannot find a suitable non-faction ID to use. Liberty Rogue ID would get me shot at by the wrong people. The ship, when finally rebuilt, is intended to be a Junker-affiliated heavy transporter flown by myself, Misaka and the other two girls, possibly replacing the Alsatia or perhaps running alongside it. It will not be a combat ship. I imagine it will have a strange hodgepodge of weaponry since I will be taking whatever I get my hands on through player interaction. Utterly useless for real pvp. An example is the light mortar I stole off the [27th] Bridage last week, which I still have.
Short of making a special request (which may or may not even be approved) what options do I have, if any? If I do go the special request route, what exactly would I request? Permission to use a Junker Guard ID or a special ID of some description?
Could I please get admin input on whether allowing use of ships outside what is stated on the ID is something that happens here?
If such is permitted I will submit a special roleplay request with all the details/stories and what have you included in it, which is quite a lot, if I may say so.
I am hesitant to do so right at this moment simply because I'm not sure what I should be asking for.:mellow:I think asking for a special ID would be pushing my brownie points past the limit, so I'd rather try something a little more mainstream.
