ok, so i was watching a ghost hunting show while drinking last night with my girl, and we were listening to the paranormal team play back audio samples of EVPs...
well then we engaged in a conversation about how they find the EVPs if they are below the normal human hearing range....
long story short, this developed into a conversation about Hertz and the ranges at which humans can actually hear any given note....
and this made me want to run a few tests concerning the differences in our personal hearing ranges, seeing as how everyone is different and not all people can hear the same frequencies as other people.
so, does anyone know of a program i can download that allows me to play back any particular frequency?
i saw a guy use one once on Mythbusters, and i'd like to find one for my tests...
' Wrote:Not off the top of my head, but you could try gooogling it.
You might get something if you search for 'frequency player'.
yeah, i did that waaay before i made that post...
i found one, but it only allows you to save the .wav file and play it at the desired hertz....
turns out, i cant hear much higher than 15kHz-16kHz
my girl and our 2 kids (3 and 6 yrs old) can hear up to 19kHz
at least i think they can, i am not sure if my speakers are playing such high frequencies adequately...
anything over 19kHz and my speakers start regressing and making lower frequency noises....
i wish i could find a program that would play back the selected hertz tone in real time as opposed to saving the file each time...
