I, while sitting in math class doodling, doodled something similar to the Kusari shipline. And I thought, "Hey. I'm active enough here, I might as well try and contribute something to Discovery. And since I am no moddler and hardly an artist, I am merely going to put up what I have come up with so far, and possibly a concept art for a bit of reinforcement.
Hogosha "Hokosaki" Bomber.
Built by the Hogosha to combat the growing number of Outcast and Crysanthemum capital vessels, the Hogosaki will be the literal "Point of the spear". Utilizing a radical design, the Hogosaki forgoes all conventional weaponry to make use of a custom powercore built by the Corsairs. The new powercore has an increased capacity and regeneration rate, as it does not need to power small arms.
With a minimal forward profile, the Hogosaki is excellent in evading forward fire. It's long, tube shaped body, however, makes for reduced agility. Bearing no small arms, this vessel requires fighter escort. It will prove to be a valuable asset in the battle against Outcast expansion.
0/0 Guns/Turrets
Maximum Shield Batteries/Nanobots - 105
12,000 armor
Slightly less turning than all other bombers
50k Powercore
4k / sec regen
2x T , 1x CD, 1x CM
Pros:
High powercore and regeneration
Large B/B capacity
Two torpedoes
Slim forward profile
Cons:
No guns or turrets
Slowest turning of all bombers
No mines
Will be fighter fodder
If I can produce a sketch of sufficient quality, I will upload it. Until then, I will describe it:
A round, oval body is the chassis. The Kusari tails are on all four sides, the side fins starting mid-way on the chassis. These are thick, as they are the torpedo tubes. The top and bottom fins start at the front of the ship, and flow to the end of the chassis. The side fins flow back, to the engines.
Comments? This is a purely anti-cap bomber. No fighter with any amount of skill could possibly be double-SNAC'd by this ship, as even the heaviest VHF could stay behind it. It would add a bit of variety. And no, this wouldn't be able to solo anything with ease, because it's slow enough that any competent capital ship gunner should be able to hit it enough to keep it away.

This will carry two SNACs?
I'ma get one and raep anything in my way.
Also, please, don't make anything turn worse than the Barghest unless you really really have to.
It should have a good strafe speed though.

YUS. do this, give it the ability to fire 2 supernovas, and bring back 4.83. who knows, dustin might come back. the rest of us bomber whores will prolly have a field trip 1,2 ing everything in our way:lol:

"prolly"? You mean definitely.
Though, I gotta say, a SNAC+Nova is pretty close.

And the Hogosha don't need a bomber. The FA and Hogosha share their available tech, meaning the FA don't need a VHF, and the Hogosha don't need a bomber.
It's open for imbalance, abuse, confusion, etc...

Simples.
Honestly, Akura, what isn't abused?
I feel that at least two guns, at least one, much like the Fafnir, would be appreciated. It would be pretty neat, though. Something PURELY used against transports and capships.
