Outcasts and Corsairs both have alot of people with Caps. The whining and bickering about only serves no purpose other than turning this into another flame thread.

Solution: Ban Caps at the event.
Wrong, solution is to make sure there's equal numbers of caps on both sides.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
Notice that veteran OC players spend their time in Alpha or elsewhere, doing things other than raiding Gamma three times a day.. And when we do raid Gamma on occasion, we do it with fighters and bombers, not with a fleet of nothing but cruisers and dreadnoughts. Those are for defense. The vet 'sair players do the same thing, just switch Alpha with Gamma. A bunch of lolwut Corsairs, mostly indies, some of them HAF, though HAF has improved since then, were bringing 7 Legates into Alpha every single day. Did we like it? No. Did we complain about it on the forums? Some did. Did it do anything? No it didn't. It only stopped when the OC would bring in a fleet of 16 people in bombers to kill those 7 battleships, or just all docked and waited for the 'sairs to get bored of having nothing to do every time they entered with a lolfleet. So will complaining about OC caps do anything? No. What will do something? Gank the fleets that are nothing but a ton of capships, or dock and let them fly around with nothing to do until they get bored. Complaining about it on the forums does less than nothing. It causes arguments, which are bad.
The idea of a Corsair vs OC event is fine. Especially one with few-to-no capships. We had a weekly event in the past. The biggest issue was that everytime we did it, it got massively laggy, people stopped showing up. Also that indy players from both sides kept jumping in mid-fight and ruining it after the teams were already balanced and things were underway. Any OC vs 'sair event would have to be watched over by an admin until people learn not to get involved without permission. If you can get that far though, go right ahead. It offered some fun to be able to have some fighter fights between OC and Sairs once in awhile, rather than the usual capfleet lolness.
