Ok, this was about no more than a week ago. I was out mining with no one around me, it was nice and quiet. All the sudden a pirate (not saying names) logs in no more than 3k from me and starts to pirate me. No more than 1 min, his friend comes to help with the piracy. Later I get killed.
My question is that, can you log in, knowingly that there will be a helpless miner, and start to pirate. Wouldn't this follow the rule of 5.9. Where as he d/c'd right in the mining feilds, way before I even started my mining or even hours/days before that. Should that person still have to ask for permission to RP with him even though a interaction never happened? Hope to hear your comments about this.
Unfortunatly, I only have a screenshot of only the 2 players involved, thought I took screens of the whole thing.
5.9 Disconnecting from the server in a PvP fight to escape, as well as in any other situation that involves player interaction, is not allowed. If you lose server connection during a player interaction, you should get back in game quickly to continue the interaction, with the other player's permission. If that is not possible, then post on the forums and PM the players involved.
5.9 Is about disconnecting. If he did not disconnect/die some 4 hours before you logged in, then no, it does not count as a 5.9 rule violation.
From all I could see, you go mining, he logs in, he pirates you, and in the meantime he calls for some additional firepower.

Yep.Nothing can stop you from doing that. You were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This one's been asked a lot. So far, there's no rule against it (Less the possible 0.0), so unfortunately, as OORP and irritating as it is, there's nothing you can do but be pirated and RP. If a pirate's messages can be read, they will normally respond well to RP, believe me. Especially if you make (a slightly lower) offer first.

Yeah, but it's kind of hard to get evidence of it unless you turn on recording software before they log in.
