A friend showed me this game, coming out early 2008. Its a strategy game that takes place throughout ALL of the world. Africa, Australia, Europe, America, etc. And it can be done through nothing but VOICE. Comes out on Xbox 360, and maybe PC as well I think. You can command every aspect of the game through a microphone.
Its just one huge Real Time Strategy using modern weaponry such as tanks. Its slightly in the future, so there are some weaponry we don't have, and protection from nuclear weapons as well, but its using most of the technology base we have today.
BTW, if anyone can tell me the two biggest tactical mistakes the commander in the trailer makes, you get a cookie.
' Wrote:First of all, the guy sent his choppers into unscouted territory. Secondly, he ordered his men to go forward. They weren't even proper tanks....
And yes, im gonna get that game, looks so awesome.
Damnit.. You get a cookie.
Almost exactly what I told my friend. Idiot. He attacked with Helis before finding/taking out their anti-air support. And the main thing was that he attacked at all. He was meant to defend, but he tried to meet attack with attack, instead of attack with defense.
He lost his army and had his command vehicle surrounded in under 3 minutes.. Now THATS green.
I'll be flying UK/EU colours in this game, methinks. Anyone care to join me?
Ivan and the Yanks will both get kicked back to their homelands. Unless I suck at it. Which is very likely.
EDIT: Oh, just listened to the news thing on rev64... Canada and Mexico seem to be staying neutral, but seem very distrustful of America, going so far as to station troops on their borders. The UK is taking the EU's side, as I expected. The Russians seem to be allying with various countries such as Venezuela, Nigeria and Libya.
perhaps he realized he was fighting a lost battle where he was outnumbered to begin with? might have made some serious tactical errors but at the end he blows himself and his enemies to hell so maybe that was his intention all along. always gotta go down with the ship :-)
A fighting retreat would have been better, living to fight another day, and taking more enemies out.
If he had said 'Target my position in 3 hours' at the start, then fallen back to a more easily defended position, well, he wouldn't be a hero, but he'd have made a better decision.
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
