However, there are already a lot of factions in Discovery. Joining existing ones would be better, I think. Starting your own faction whose purpose is the exact same as another's seems rather pointless.
Entering a faction that is already there gets you more experience too. You can learn from the other players and be a part of a more cohesive whole.

Strangely enough, this was one of the points I was getting at. If a lot the the people don't want DD to create the faction, then we can steer them in this direction instead of just saying that their faction idea sucks.

Retired A very big thanks to Dark Oddity who put my signature pic together
Another reason people start a faction is that they can fly that shiny BS they just bought. For example, if he were going to join The Black Squadron, you can bet that D-boy would never let him fky that Osirus right off the bat, and chances are that he wouldn't get permission to fly it for serveral months.

when i came to discovery, i was in a faction which was created liek this one is being made. it was order, callewd PA|. it died. terribly. simply because of the fact that we didnt have enough members active enough.
not to sound rude or owt, but there are alot of well settled clans for most of the major factions. id recommend joining them since you gain experience in how everyone works on this server, you get to know new people, you get pvp skills in fighters/bombers. turst me. a bomber or fighter squad is much more dangferous than a single battleship, if the bs doenst have a fighter escort.
the Bs| is run by a really good leader, the players are active as well. ide recommend to start off with them, and later on if you still want a facion, make it.
dont make the same mistake i did when i made the PA|.
Ok sorry if im late but i thought i would trough my 2 cents worth in.
Personaly i think that creating a faction takes a lot of work and TLC. When i started TBH I had been hear for about 6months and had lots of good friends who were willing to help me accomplish my goals. Also treat your members with respect. My Thoughts are stay hear for a while make friends and maby they will help you along.
Hope this helps

Yust a little something here.
Who DOESNT have a battleship on the server today? Allmost everyone! Those who dont have only been here for a verry small amount of time. And why own one? Yust for the sake of "pwnzoring" in most cases.
Owning a battleship gives you no rights, it should give you satisfaction that you acomplished one of your goals. Use it well.
