Well, as the topic states, I set up a server just for people to mess about on, test out set-ups, etc etc.
So, what is there to like about this server? It's up (almost) 24/7, depending on how much time I can get on it without killing the rest of my comp.
It's running 4.85 Discovery, along with FLHook, but without any plugins (not that they will be needed) and I use Cannon's DS Account Manager to edit in ships and money.
A friendly and helpful admin (me), who will dispense credits and teleportation upon polite request.
A (hopefully) lag free UK-based connection.
Every ship you'll find in Discovery (duh)
And free PvP in Omicron Alpha, Connecticut and pretty much any system where you can play.
By free, I mean it's allowed anywhere, but it is considered polite to ask first. If you just randomly attack people, you will get two warnings, one kill, then a kick, then a bastiplacement, then a ban. You've been warned.
"But Mr Adamusa, how can I connectz?"
Simple, I have taken a quote from the readme file for Discovery mod.
Quote:To add more servers, simply append the address (IP or URL) to the end of this list, located in Freelancer\EXE\dsupdate.cfg file ("flargs =" section).
Make sure you untick read-only in the file properties, then re-tick it when the file saves, otherwise you can mess up your FL.
Quite simple, or use a program (a friend of mine did) to connect it automatically.
You'll need the IP address: 89.168.38.183
And the port: 2302
Now, the server can only support 32 characters online at any one time, due to my PC being the most worthless piece of crap to exist.
So, I hope you enjoy my server, and have fun.
And by all means, leave constructive criticism on how I can improve the server.
But keep stuff like, "OMG ur server sux go die nub" in your own head please.
If nothing is worth fighting for, then why are you fighting?
Are you brave?
Stupid?
Or do you simply fight because you have nothing better to do?
