So I've added widescreen to my game, and it works fine. Now I want to change the appearance of the widescreen. To help me explain, I have taken a screenshot and have marked the areas I want changed.
One of the main things I want changed is the font size. The font size in the areas marked in orange are too big, and I want them one or two sizes smaller. I have already been attempting to edit the font.ini file, and I have managed to reduce the side of the font on infocards. But I cannot change the font size of the scanner / weapons screens.
Also, is there any way to move the scanner / weapons box (Marked in green) to the edge of the screen, instead of sitting in the middle.
Lastly, is there a way to increase the font size of the text input box. (Marked in red) It's a tad bit too small and sometimes I can't make out what letters are in there without getting closer to the screen.
Don't know about the scanner and weapons panels, but it is definately possible to increase the text size. Look in your FL folder at the \data\fonts\ subfolder and edit the CFG files with a text editor. Font sizes are specified there. I'm not entirely certain what's what yet but in the process of mapping that out.

I did that. I edited every single one. I only managed to change the text size of the infocards and inventory screen. The weapons /scanner panel never changed.
It's actually a DLL that does the work, but it doesn't seem to work for very long. I'm trying to see if it won't work properly with a little "technical persuasion".

Adoxa worked on it for singleplayer, and I'm just trying to get it to work right online.
