We all know rule 6.7, and apparently quite a few of us think it is nonsense from an RP standard that a Transport can get away with piracy because the only thing that showed up to stop it was a Cruiser.
(I can kinda understand it getting away from a Dread, they don't have CDs.)
Thus, I propose an addition to Rule 6.7
"New version of Rule 6.7 Wrote:Attacking freighters, transports, liners or demanding cargo from the same is not allowed for cruisers and battleships.
Exceptions to this rule are:
a) Official faction tagged house ships in their respective house space ONLY.
b) Terrorist, Nomad, Wild, Phantom ID players;
c) LSF or Liberty Navy Guard vessels operating within Zone 21 or Alaska;
d) Order Guard vessels operating within Alaska or Omicron Minor;
e) Blood Dragon Guard vessels within Chugoku;
f) Corsair Guard vessels within Omicron Gamma;
g) Outcast Guard vessels within Omicron Alpha;
h) Guard ID players in their -own- associated Guard system.
i) Special OP players within the guidelines of their approved RP. j) Police Guard ID players operating within their Capital system (New York, New Berlin, New Tokyo, New London, Ille-De-France)
This might draw some of the independant capital pilots away from the Navy facitons, and towards the LPI, Rheinland Police, Kusari State Police, etc.

this doesnt entice people to do anything, its a simple and sensible change. most of the time you dont KNOW the person is a pirate transport if you look on the chat list or whatever, if you are just cruising down the lane and they pull you out of it and they just sit there and ignore your existance because they can.
its dumb, and most of the time they arent alone anyway.

Ever tried to sink a supertanker in a van? Because "vans" in Sirius do it pretty well.
I don't like the idea of pirates being hunted by capship but I also don't like pirates abusing the rule and some of them take it really too far. Also PTrans has more firepower than gunboats and bombers. Pretty good for a "van".
