So, switching cooperative multiplayer gaming from a completely finished BF1942 to BF2, I ran into some questions:
1.
Is there a way to setup the bots like in Battlefield 1942 (by which I mean that e.g. team 1 gets 3 of 10 player slots, and team 2 gets 7 of 10) ?
2.
What happened to "Add Buddies" (quite like Freelancer's groups; green highlighted players in BF1942 per choice) in BF2? Have I missed a button for that or is this not available anymore?
1. One bot per player (one player joins, one bot joins) by running your server, or
2. You can start a single player game (you vs. a bunch of bots) and have someone else join by connecting to your IP. Only problem with this is in single player you can only play the size 16 maps.
EA really dropped the ball by forcing it to be an online, multiplayer game. A shame.
As for the group thing, there should still be the squad invite or manage button once you create it (PgUp, I think). Pick all the people to invite, then you can talk in squad.

Err ... I am happy with just 50, and I know how to add them myself, thanks though ^^

Hm ... alright, I'll try that. We're using Teamspeak for the voice chat part, it's just for the identification on the map to have some faster coordinations that this "buddy feature" would've been useful again:D
