My name is Taylor Andrews, your bartender, waiter and the proud owner of this fine establishment.
Happy Hour is Every Hour.
Eat, Drink, Get Social at the Manhattan Bar and Lounge.
//This bar is open to anyone mostly regardless of fraction. It is probably the first bar to do so. As every other one is restricted to specific fractions.
Please keep all posts in RP and enjoy.I created this since everyone is always hanging around NY and if you look at it. All we have is Sunbucks for LPI and Newark Pub for IND and none for civilians. So I created this for pure RP fun.
Enjoy
Isabelle entered the bar, dressed in the light black and cyan naval uniform members of the Liberty 106th wore. She looked around, slightly embarassed - sure, she did went to bars before, but that was mostly at the time she was a mere field officer for the LLA. Now being much higher in the military rankings... she couldn't help but feel incomfortable. She sat down at one of the lounge, and smiled at the bartender.
Well, at least the room wasn't too crowded at the moment, and it was one of the few bars where none of her own men were sitting...
A general needed to relax from time to time, right? It was their first shore leave since nearly a whole month now...
"Liberty Ale please" she asked, hoping no incident (read: barfight) would happen...
Andrews looked at Isabelle and smiled.
"Liberty Ale It Is Mam"
Andrew, took a glass mug that was overturend on the counter and purred a full glass of ale.
"Here you are Mam, and enjoy, just tell me if you need anything else"
He quickly turned around
"Oh Yeah, If you stay for a few more minutes, were going to have live music and this place is probobly going to be packed"
Andrews walked away and helped customers who were watching a race that was going on in Connecticut on one of the monitors.
The bar was not as busy at the moment. But it was a slow day.
Victor Remond was on Manhatten visiting a few old friends. The 2 that actually remembered him that is. But right now he needed a little time to think, after taking out 3 Dragon Gunboats yesterday, he wanted to be alone and not be reminded of the fact that the GB exploding could have been him and his ship. And telling stories to his friends reminded him of exactly that. Not that he didn't like talking to his friends, but he also needed a little time alone.
So he was wondering the streets of Manhatten looking for a bar to visit and get lost in. Walking into Manhatten Bar and Lounge he noticed the friendly atmosphere but very few patrons. This wasn't the place to get lost. He turned around to leave when the barkeep shouted across the room at him. Victor turned around.
"Were you talking to me?" he asked.
"of course you, now come here." the bartender replied.
"If anything I know what can cheer you up, a fine glass of Liberty Ale, on the house"
What do you say, we ainty busy right now but in a few minutes we will have live music?"
Victor looks at him intrested
"How about you sit down and have a glass, maybee you'll feel better"
Isabelle smirked as she listened to the bartender. The new customer did indeed seemed in need of something to kill it's depression. Well, there were always hard time in the business of the killing...
She thought about talking to the man to ease his distress, but restrained herself - nah, she wasn't playing moral officer tonight. Especially to someone she didn't even knew.
She kept drinking silently, watching without much interest the racing that was now ending in Connecticut. One of the craft crashed in a race ring, causing spectators and commentators to yell in fear for the pilot's life...
they don't know what real danger is he thought just as the racer crashed. people would rather distract themselves with meaningless games then face the truth. I've survived the pirates, and worse, in the Omegas, seen the Nomads in the Omicrons, and these people here are more interested in GAMES??
"Pft" Victor was turning to go when he noticed the bartender and the outstreched Liberty Ale. Well, maybe things aren't so bad he thought as he accepted the Ale with a smile.
"Thank you." and then he saw something that made him forget all his other thoughts. Bertonian Lobster.
"Mr. Bartender, how much for the Bertonian Lobster?"
"It's Andrews, and that Lobster is 35 credits. Would you like some?"
"Most definatly Andrews, and thank you."
Victor sat down at the otherwise empty bar while Andrews yelled the order back to the cook. Victor cracked open the Ale bottle and took a long drink. Glancing around to get familiar with the place he noticed a women sitting alone at one of the booths. She looked more stuck-up then most of the RM officers he worked with.
"Hey Andrews, who's that?"
"I'm not sure, she looks fairly high-ranked in the Liberty Army, and you know how they are, all orders and discipline."
Victor nodded and shuddered. Not the life for him, he liked his more casual crew and their comraderie.
"You know, I used to work in these types of places, before I got a starship and left Manhatten for the stars. Back when life was simple."
Andrews nodded. "Where did you work?" he inquired.
"Oh here and there, The Rocket, LN Pub, Traveler's Rest, The Gunship and a few others."
Andrews nodded again. "All of those except LN Pub have closed down."
At that moment Victor's Lobster arrived and he dived hungerly into it. Andrews quickly replaced his now-empty Liberty Ale.
Andrews handed Victor the lobster wich was ripoe red and was still hot from the grill.
"Enjoy My Friend"
Andrews walks to one of the monitors to CNS
"Drug Abuse On The Rise In Liberty"
"Damm teenagers, what do you think of this Isabelle? You guys in blue are supposed to make sure that stuff aint getting into Liberty. Especially a high status place like Manhattan."
Solo enters, rubbing his head. What am I going to next? He sighs. Solo takes a seat in a corner of the lounge and reads the menu. Oh, Liberty Monster Burgers, I will have to try that. He says.
Solo calls for the bartender.
Yes, what would you like to have? The bartender asks.
I would like to try the Liberty Monster Burgers and a Liberty Ale, please. Solo replies.
Coming right up. The bartender says.
While Solo waits for his order, he tries to figure out his next plan since quitting RepEx.
