We currently have members in France, Turkey, Germany, US and Australia. Call Pinky, Brain--it's time to try to take over the world!
I agree. Don't withdraw the application.
Tinkerbell has every right to lead this group.
I would say the majority of Junkers want you as
"leader" if there is such a thing. Not that you "lead"
but more like you "facilitate".
We need you and this Congress.
Old Steel and some others are just being Junkers.
By themselves.

It wasn't Old_Steel. Insane people I can handle 'cause I know they are just crazy
I haven't talked publicly about the numerous and almost daily ridiculous comments I received before and during the application process.
"Your role play makes me sick" "We do not like your Junker faction idea" "You are ruining Junkers" "You are ruining role play" "You are another cap whore." "You are oorp and kos to us." "We will make sure no one participates" "We will start our own Junker group to put your faction out of business" "You are a RP wannabe" "We will treat your factions players like npcs--they don't exist to us" (this by a Junker player).
...and on and on and on and on. Add to that, two of our players being KOSed simply for having the tag .:j:. (which caused them to resign) and my hearing from other Junkers that 'talk' they were hearing from other factions made them want to wait until after we were official before joining--well, you get the idea.
I had though originally it was because I was the "new guy" on the block and after I got a little better known, I'd see things lighten up. That did and didn't happen. Some players made a complete 180 towards me and the faction proposal and I was pleased to see that. It was (and is) however the persistent hostility that made me quit.
Not liking the premise is fine--venting personal hatred and rudeness steadily because of it is over the line.
Sadly, it is only the minority that behaved this way--but just as on the forums--the bitter minority seems to have a very loud voice.
It was ceasing to be fun knowing I had a faction lifetime of constant "Who do you think you are?" (another quote) to deal with.
So I would be thrilled if someone took over the process for the group but I am on the sidelines of it. It won't bother me a bit if someone else runs it or revamps it. I personally think it would have been one of the best factions in the game.
I really want to apologize to our members and supporters--thanks so much for your help and to the Xeno players who I really regret not being able to continue developing a faction-to-faction relationship with. I think we could have set a standard for how factions can raise the fun level.
No one got to see or know the "hidden rp" I had built in and that's sad (It's part of the reason I wanted a Rheinland battleship and note, only one).
I am happy privately to help anyone with working up a proposal, etc. but I am publicly out of the loop on this. It is a game and it is supposed to be fun. That was being hindered seriously for me.
Part of the reason(I believe) for the opposition is the Junkers as a faction could be one of the most powerful groups on the server--and that seems to be a fear amongst some other players that will never go away. For that reason, I think a lot of the strife I was getting would have continued.
This was actually quite a succesful faction proposal--look at the views on this topic. Not bad for "wannabes" and obviously a lot of interest in the concepts. If their had been a decision on it a little sooner I would have continued it.
Thanks and good luck all.
[I am still on the server fyi]

*Takes deep breath to calm down*
1. That is crazy and pisses me off. :angry:People realy need to get over themselves and realize there is not just one way to play a junker. I am impressed Tink because I would not be as "nice" as you are being if people said that garbage to me.
2. No need for appologies my friend. As I said I will still proudly fly the .:j:. flag.
