I was in NY and lost to PVP. My ship got blown up and I was RPing to get a lift from someone. I was then kicked for base idling. Whats the deal here? I'm not allowed to re-engage so I had to leave the system. How can you do that if your ship gets blown up?
If you get kicked for base idling you cant RP properly - because communications and negotiations take time.
Please add something to the rules about what you will get kicked for. This was a complete surprise to me.
Ah...Thank you.

it's just a thing built into freelancer multiplayer that kicks you from the server if you stay landed at a base too long, so you dont take up space on the server when you're not active.

Time limit on being idle in a base I believe is 15 minutes, then you get a warning and kicked.
I always figured that if you're in friendly space or a Guard system that isn't hostile to you, you could idle around there and be okay. Even though it's still wrong to do, real life does beckon every once in a while.
I hope its not a serious rule cause I get kicked at least 3-4 times a day for it. I'm a crude multitasker and at times of the day the phone is ringing of the hook, I'm getting IMs, life is going on etc so I just alt-tab and walk away. Its just a habit from playing other online games were there was no such rule.
