It was me and rookie(s) from S/D chasing you to base. So I take the full responsibility for the incident as people were flying under my command at that time.
There's been internal as well as external debate going if the bounties in Magellan indeed are valid. And operations are put to hold until we are clear on this matter.
And let us clear where this whole thing originates. The old LPI blanket bounty posted by Zapp lists Liberty and adjoining regions (namely Kepler, Hudson, Bering, Cortez, Magellan etc), BUT the current LPI bounty did not have any indication of the area anymore. I assumed automatically that since it's the same persona posting the bounties are valid there too.
It's currently as far as I know under investigation if indeed LPI bounties are valid there.
I have hopefully some screens back at home and can provide them to all parties for a look.
As I recall how things went. A red was shown in the scanner, I remember blurting out something like "checking out hostile contact" and set course to intercept you. And while chasing you tried to talk us out of it. You were way too far for us to CD or do anything more than to chase really and you managed to flee to Mactan. After seeing you go there we left vicinity since it's specifically against the S/D own rules to hang around enemy bases, not to mention bad form.
But I have to check my photolib for this.
I see no harm done really, but if I remember right you were flying a Falcata and to any BH that certainly warrants a closer look. And I hardly think my manta + rookie's Serpents vs your Falcata would have constituted an overkill.
Please click the Banjo link in my sig to see my personal collection of standing bounties. It's handy when starting patrol, but it's not waterproof since that bounty board is very messy. I'll edit the "and surrounding regions" from that list, so it will read only Liberty proper for now.
I'm sorry if you felt harassed but I was operating under the best knowledge I have currently. S/D is far from trying to be red is dead server police. I personally have watched many times how a Rogue tagged, Pirate IDed vessel just flies in California without interfering, since there is no blanket bounty for Pirate ID vessels. Thankfully Eddie has a bounty on his head now so he can not get away anymore with that ID;)
By your own admittance your were raiding, passing Magellan to get home (indicating that you are an OC) and I can understand where your little upset is coming from since you felt you were home free and then couple of hunters bounce on you. What I fail to see is really that why OC even would raid the NY for? For loot? Pirating is a totally different thing though.
But thanks for bringing this up. It makes S/D refine their operational procedures in unclear areas and cases.
EDIT: But why didn't you PM me or any of the other S/D in-game when you were docked? We could have handled this there immediately instead of letting time for misconceptions to fester. That's how I handle things like this. We all are there to have fun and if someone's ruining yours then go and talk to guy in good spirit. That's how I handle things like this.
All in all. I hope to catch you in space sometimes and we can have a blast.
EDIT2: These are all the pictures I have. They do not reveal that much and that's the closest we got you.
But any more than one target, and I'm usually toast, especially considering Bounty Hunter ships are so low profile.
The [HF] and some indy Outcasts went after the Liberty Navy. We destroyed a Carrier and a few gunboats, along with about 8 or 9 fighters. After fighting for at least 30 minutes, the last thing I wanted to see was a couple of Bounty Hunters waiting to catch me on my return to Malta.
I never know much about the bounties, as I rarely look at that part of the forums.
Quote:Bear in mind that the Lane Hackers have promised to pay 800 million bounty on all BHG ships in Liberty, including Magellan.
Bear in mind that a lone bomber is no match for two LFs [superior agility] and a VHF [mini-razor].
I'll keep an eye on the player list from now on.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

That's the idea. To give you a fighting chance still keeping the odds in our favor. But I'm pretty sure someone mixed up construction material order since Serpents are evidently made out of paper. And all it takes is 1-2 mistakes and...
I've been thinking for quite some time that I should arrange a warm welcome in California to the heroes returning from battle. Easier pickings
But I haven't since I haven't got any time and usually the victors are so numerous that it would be a suicide.
I consider your case closed and suggest you take a look at the bounties board once in a while to know if there indeed is a bounty on you or not.

Well that's the thing, it was a blanket bounty, which I might add is just a rich man's genocide.
Kurosora out.
