Provence is realtiv new and undeveloped system in the Gallic Border Worlds. The royal settlement started around 619 A.G.S and is still not finished. The system is known by royal Gallics as a system for holidays. Luxury Liner Antibes is the perfect example for this. But also Planet Marseille is very nice and likly to visit for people, who have the credits for this.

There are no trade lanes and the system is only connect trought a single Jump Gate to Auvergne official. But this has changed in 824 AS when a new jump hole has become stabil connecting this system to Tau-44; a system where the GRN were defeated not long ago. The Republican Forces of Gallia are now using this connection to get the civil war back to Gallia. Provence is small and not well defended, so a victory for the council is possible. Also they are supported by people from Bretonia and Crayter; and seldom even Maltese.

Also Provence is one of the rare system in Gallia that are holding a real Freeport for people from Gallia and Sirius.

The system is also know for the drug "Nox" that can be find everywhere here; but the GRP will search for each dealer and take him or her down.

The Mer is a beautiful place both when seen from inside and outside, with its cloud shapes changing form under the gravitational influence of Provence's sun and planets. The unmatched beauty of the cloud makes it one of the prime tourist attractions in Gallic space.

Areas of Interest

Nebulae

Camargue Dust Field

A small field of light asteroids and space dust, caught in the gravitational pull of Planet Marseille.

Esterel Nebula

A wisp of the Mer Mediterrane nebula that has broken away from it.

Maures Nebula

A relatively thin nebula composed mainly of elemental helium in a partly condensed state.

Mer Mediterainee

Mer Mediterainee is a huge blue nebula comprised of methane and water ice. It stretches far outside the area of gravitational influence of Provence's primary star, being a part of a much larger interstellar nebula that mostly lies outside of the human-inhabited worlds. The Mer is a beautiful place both when seen from inside and outside, with its cloud shapes changing form under the gravitational influence of Provence's sun and planets. The unmatched beauty of the cloud makes it one of the prime tourist attractions in Gallic space.

Asteroid Fields

Luberon Asteroid Field

A field of rock and ice asteroids without any valuable resources. Sometimes reckless youth from the Cannes Resort make use of the field as a racing course.

Vaccares Asteroid Field

A dense field of heavy rock asteroids, it is speculated that the Vaccares Asteroid field was at one time a small moon or planet that broke apart. No useful resources have been found in surveys of the field.
