During its time in service the Battleship was chiefly used as a training ship with many recent officers of the Rheinland Military having undergone command training aboard the Braunschweig. The ship was also used to instruct and familiarise enlisted Crew scheduled to serve on Bismarck class Warships.
Previously, the Braunschweig was positioned close to the Hamburg Gate in the Hudson System as a result of the Jump Gate crisis and to serve as Base of operations for the various repair crews that were tasked with restoring the gate.
