Something about me

There's nothing to say about me actually, other than that I'm in the Thuderbolt PIR (Parachute Infantry Regiment, 185th Reconnaissance Regiment LARS/LRRP. The regiment is currently localized in Nasiriyah, Iraq. In the past I was a tour agent, working for Costa & Spa, a cruise company, but in 2010 I joined the army. That was possibly the best choice of my life, well, if I won't shot in action it's all fine for me.

The Folgore? What's that?

The Folgore Parachute Brigade is the largest unit of paratroopers (paracadutisti) of the Italian Army; a second smaller unit is the 4th Alpini Regiment Monte Cervino . The name Folgore is Italian for lightning. The Folgore (Thunderbolt) operates as Light Infantry, capable of both air-landing and parachute operations, and has a marginal mechanized role. It is part of the Projection Forces under the 1° Commando FOD.

What am I doing now?

When I have some free time, I usually dedicate it to my family, to my work and then to Discovery. I'm a big fan of the Mass Effect series, of EVE and of course, of Discovery. I'm generally addicted to any kind of space simulator game, and to modern warfare combat games, and no, I'm not referring to Call of Duty, but to Battlefield Bad Company 2. Another game that I want to mention is of course Brothers in Arms, and the famous television series, Band of Brothers.

Another passion of mine is probably Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and of course history.

Did you made friends in Iraq? Yes, they range from Royal Navy soldiers, to US Army high-ranking officers to Japanese peace keeping units.

Why did you enrolled in the army then? Because my father was in the army, he had a brilliant career, and even so, I was eager to know foreign people.
