Battlecruiser Lehigh was constructed to assist in the war against Rheinland and initially planned to be part of a second spearhead assault into Bremen. However, with the war coming to close prior to the Lehigh leaving drydock, the Liberty Security Force authorized its use in the Pennsylvania system where it monitored increasing unlawful activity in the area.

By 824 AS a concerning resurgence of activity in the Kansas system has lead the LSF to assign the Lehigh to keep a watchful eye on the growing unlawful presence in the system. Making good use of the systems size, it carefully observes the activity of the Hellfire Legion and other unlawful elements in system from its northern perch.
